Hotel 3 Banderas

Excellent location at a fair price. Very attentive and friendly staff in reception, breakfast, and public areas. Stairs are steep to upper rooms. Pool is nice, but is quite small. Except for suites, rooms are a bit small. Breakfast is done well, especially if you pay beyond the continental.

Great hotel, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the hotel is safe, we need to ring the bell every time we want to get in and the staff see us on a CCTV and comes to open, and lock the gate again. Rooms are spacious and have character, breakfast is lovely, half buffet half hot cooked breakfast. We stayed there on our last night in Colombia and in the morning we had a panic with the Mig Check form to exist the country, and Emily the receptionnist has been wonderful trying to help us and fill in the form for us on her personal phone. It turns out our flight number was 0741 and we should not put the "0" (zero) on the flight number or else the system will tell you that the flight number is invalid/not recognized. She went out of her way to help us, she was going to call immigration also, and called a friend of hers who deals with those form on a regular basis. I was amazed at her kindness! Also we got lost in Cartagena before check out, so we were an hour late freeing the room and she said that was no problem and did not charge us anything, very understanding! The patio is lovely and we wish we could spend more time in the hotel but this was an express visit of Cartagena, but we will definitely stay there again on our next visit!

Overall was it great experience in this property, it was very clean, nice and courteous staff, excellent location.

Beautiful lobby, spacious room, awesome rooftop pool, and a safe street with some fantastic dining options literally steps away. Only negative is that the showers aren't hot

This hotel is excellent. From start to the end everything was just wonderful. Rooms are really comfy and clean. They definitely make sure everything is spotless. Staff are friendly. Very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, you can walk everywhere. I definitely recommend this hotel. I’m not sure it says 3 starts is definitely 4/5. Go and enjoy Cartagena!

Wouldn’t honor my reservation, yet asked for credit card and charged. Then they said they’ll cancel reservation, issued refund receipt. Guess what? It was actually double charge. Now I have 2 charges, didn’t get a room from the hotel and they are not answering ********** customer service. Scam! Scam! Scam!

First night- bad- had to change rooms. AC did not work, no hot water. Second night- still no hot water.. Third night- water was “fixed” not true. Still cold. Fourth night- they truly have no hot water. They have water tanks on the roof and that is all you get. They are either lying or completely incompetent or both. Fact is they just don’t care or don’t know how to run a hotel. Charge your credit card- YES! They know how to do that. Run a hotel, no. If I want hostel level service, then I expect to pay hostel prices. You charge US rates , I expect things to work. Wifi sucks - useless - don’t even think about video. Could bot work here because of this and had to go down to the mall. AC sometimes. Hot water never. Construction next door- starts at 7am- don’t even think about sleeping in. Management indifferent or incompetent. I would leave but was with other people. Breakfast- free yes, but super bland, cofeee terrible (as with most hotels in Colombia) Try Amasa Cafe down the street! Worth paying for. No elevator- so if you can’t climb 2 flights- don’t ask for 3rd floor rooms Mosiquites- yes, plenty- make sure your room has a screen on it. In short. Won’t stay here ever again and did not extend for another four days. Went somewhere else with hot water.

Great place to stay. FYI, the pool is tiny. The personnel is excellent, close to everything, plenty of restaurants within a block from the place. Rooms are a bit small but workable. a few minutes from most of the main attractions.

Nice hotel in great location. We stayed a couple of nights as part of a group. The room was fine with good shower. It had a safe. The air con worked well - although it leaked. We discovered this on return to room midday and The staff immediately looked to fix it and offered another room which we declined as a/c still worked and we were leaving next day. The room faced into a courtyard which you could sit in. There was coffee in a flask that you could help yourself to. Breakfast was good. There is a pool on the top floor which looked fine but we did not use. The staff were lovely - spoke English. We were able to give them bag of clothes which were washed and dried by the next morning for cheap price. The best thing though is the fantastic location in the centre of old town. In the morning we were out early to explore and avoid the crowds then returned for breakfast.
