Hotel Coralina Island

There are no words to describe how amazing our stay was. The staff offered incredible service. Pierre was there all the time to ensure his place ran smoothly and that added to the experience. It was like staying with a big family. Snorkeling was such an amazing adventure offered to us. We also managed to do bike tours at the nearby island. Spanish is primarily used in the hotel and the food was delicious. Best food I’ve ever had! Along with drinks shoutout to Everis, Erika, Diego and Abraham for leaving a lasting impression and going above and beyond in explaining Colombian culture to us! Worth every penny. Bring bug spray and sunscreen and get ready to make incredible meteorites.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Coralina and can’t wait to come back. If you’re visiting the Rosario Islands and are looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to stay for a few nights, look no further. The island was stunning, with so many beautiful places to lounge and swim. We loved paddleboarding, snorkeling, and our massages. The staff was wonderful— Erica made us feel so at home and was always available for any questions, and Andrés was very attentive in making sure we had all the food/drink we wanted throughout the day. Couldn’t recommend this place more for a peaceful getaway.

We got our wallet stolen from our backpack in our locked room while we were on a boat ride seeing the bioluminescent plankton that weren’t even visible. The cleaning lady went in at night to “clean” even though the room looked exactly the same after we came back. After bringing this up to the owner of the hotel Pierre, we were met with skepticism on their part, saying that we lost it. We didn’t loose it. We know exactly where we left it. Hotel is a complete scam. Very disorganized service altogether & you’re basically stuck in this small island to spend money on their very expensive food. Please take your money elsewhere. Save yourself time and money! Also, on their “best” room there was a pooped diaper floating around. The water is full of trash & when you go snorkeling, you’re seeing all the trash they don’t clean, even though they claim to be “sustainable”. This hotel is a cash grab & the cocky French omnipresent owner has become rich because of it. Take your money to local hotels & help out the true locals! Don’t swim with pooped diapers.

Loved our stay at Coralina from start to finish. Very clear communication from the beginning about transport to the island, and the process of taking the boat to the island and checking-in was seamless. The rooms were spotless, and very generously sized. The fans and AC kept the rooms at a comfortable level, but were also quiet enough to not affect our sleep. There seemed to be twice as many staff as guests, so whenever we needed anything, staff went out of their way to look after us. Particularly Erika, who was incredible. At the end of our stay when we were dropped off in Cartagena (and after Erika had finished work) she saw us struggling with taxis and spent an extra 10 minutes ensuring that we found a driver who wasn't going to overcharge us. The food and drink at the hotel was the same price as restaurants in the Old City in Cartagena, which is very reasonable considering the extra work involved in keeping a stock of fresh food on the island. There was also no charge for drinking water, which is unusual for Cartagena. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer - 3 days were good but we could have spent a week or more here. Highly recommended.

The star of the show here is the coral peninsula this hotel sits on, at the end of a small island in the Rosarios. You can kayak around the whole island in around 45 minutes using one of the provided boats if you choose. There is a day-guest area which is busy with a bar and guests between around 10am and 3pm, which has the nicest swimming access, but there are quieter parts to access the water on the other side of the hotel and you can also request private terraces with water access if you like. Our room was cool, spacious, beds comfortable, but hot water was hard to get hold of. Normally this didn't matter as the "cold" was warmed by the sun in the tanks, so was fine for a brief shower. Food and drink was a little more expensive than on the mainland as you might expect - bar service was good and drinks well made. Breakfasts (included) were good, with lots of choice. Lunches and dinners were slightly disappointing, we tried several of the menu options but never found anything particularly great. Staff around the hotel were always friendly and most spoke English to some degree. Overall, a great spot for a day or two to relax away from everything.

From the moment I stepped onto the island, Coralina Hotel transported me into a world of tranquility. The azure waters surrounding this haven coupled with the lush greenery create a serene ambience that instantly melts away stress. The staff's warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of charm to the experience especially Erika. Her dedication to ensuring every guest feels valued is truly commendable. She went above and beyond to accommodate requests and offer guidance, making my stay seamless and delightful.

We had the most wonderful, relaxing time at Coralina Island. The island is a peaceful oasis that combines an immersion into nature with the service of a high end hotel. The staff are absolutely lovely and made sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. The food at each meal was fantastic. The view of the ocean from our cozy cabana was gorgeous. It is about an hour boat ride from Cartagena. They made the transportation to and from the island very easy. Very responsive via email. We spent a beautiful two days there. Would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway to disconnect.

Was robbed by hotel staff. I felt so unsafe for my belongings and stuck that I had to escape on a boat with local fishers. I was insulted for even bringing up the concern and talked down to for being an American. The water was gross, the food was overpriced and the owner was hateful. I filed a police report and was contacted with threats from the owner who slandered me threatening to retaliate. I’d recommend to spend your money elsewhere.
