Nice Way Cascais Hostel & Surf Camp

Wonderful experience! Staff are lovely and really friendly vibe here, would highly recommend! There are lots of social events in the hostel and the surf lessons are great. The spot is maybe a five minute walk from Cascais

Would definitely recommend staying here. There’s a great pool and outdoor area, the staff are lovely, they offer affordable food and drinks. Good location to the beach/supermarket/centre etc Beds are comfy, bathrooms are clean and overall a good social vibe

I'll first start with the good things: the location is beautiful and the garden with the pool looks really nice and chill. The staff is also very friendly and it's easy to socialize. It was my first time surfing and the surf instructors were good and helpful. However, I wasn't able to get a good night's sleep as the rooms overlook the communal area/garden where there are always people chatting until late at night. I also kindly asked them to keep it down as it was 2 am but they continued regardless. If you're into that party/drinking mood then this hostel is for you, but if you'd rather get some good rest (which you need after surfing), then you better look for other options. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm which was probably the smallest dorm I've ever been in, there's basically no room to store your luggage and move around. The beds are also small and they're all inside of this box wooden structure which is super noisy, so you hear every movement everyone else makes when they're in bed. Finally, when I called them to ask about the surf classes, they told me I could do the last class on my checkout day as they always have 1 class in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. However, once I got there, they told me that the only class they had on my checkout day was at 13.30 which was way too late for me. So in the end I had to take 2 classes in a day which was really exhausting (especially if you're a beginner like me). I wish they organized this better.

Great hostel, nice staff, nice pool, nice location, good vibes all around. Our 4 bed family room was in the corner and a bit small but we only used the room to sleep at night because there is so much to do at the hostel and in the area! I highly recommend this place!

We had an amazing experience at Nice Way. It was easy to get to, everyone was very friendly. The bbq dinners were so good and it’s in a nice area too. Very safe for solo travellers too.

Had an amazing time at Nice way! Could not recommend it enough. We originally booked for two nights but ended up extending our stay. The majority of other guests also ended up extending because we all loved it so much. The staff are super welcoming and friendly and very helpful with anything you may need. The hostel is clean and the beds were comfy. We stayed in the 12 person mixed dorm and in no way did it feel like there was 11 others in the room with you as you’re in your own little pod. The hostel organises a bbq for everyone and the food and atmosphere was incredible. The bar has happy hour every evening 7-8 bringing majority to the bar, which is a great way to meet everyone and socialise. The hostel also organises surf lessons or rental. We rented for €25 but this includes a lift to the beach, wetsuit and board for 2 hours. Also a shout out to Yuri, in-house tattoo artist, supplying poolside tattoos and great vibes!

This is a very nice and cozy hostel with lovely staff. I stayed here only for two nights and felt very welcome. The rooms are clean and the location is just a short walk away from the center. Would absolutely recommend to stay here.

First of all - the hostel is lovely, clean and welcoming. Situated on a quiet street only 5 minutes from the bus or train station. However tho the real beauty is the staff and guests. If Ebenezer Scrooge had the opportunity to travel here as a younger man I doubt Charles Dickens would have much to write about. The place is relaxed and it is impossible not to let the chill vibes soak into your heat and soul. I have stayed here as a solo traveller and couple with both times being exceptional. I always said I would never revisit a place I have travelled to but I could not stay away. Special mention to Marcela the masseuse, baker and Queen of Nice Way. A massage with Delgado Touch (her business) is highly recommended after a morning catching waves. I will be back again in the future to kick it with the kids while I talk of how past memories and bore them to death.
