Iason Studios

I just had to post a review as we have recently stayed at Iason studios… where do I start ? On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Despina who welcomed us and showed us to our room and explained about all the facilities and showed us on a map lots of interesting things to see and restaurants around Chania. The rooms view was spectacular to say the least, we made full use of the coffee machine , sitting on our balcony each morning with a freshly made coffee was a great start to the day before setting out exploring Chania. Location location location ! Iason studios is right in the heart of the old town, which is so quaint, you meander through the narrow streets, it’s just so lovely… When our holiday was over, Despina even arranged for a taxi to take us back to the airport… We would definitely return! Thank you for making our trip complete !

I cannot recommend Iason Studios enough - we had a wonderful week long stay! This was a perfect place to call home for a week while we were exploring Crete. Our suite was extremely charming, spacious and meticulously clean - with a beautiful balcony and views. Location is perfect - situated in the beautiful Topanas neighborhood in the beautiful Old Town section of Chania. The AC was great to turn on after long days spent in the sun and there are tons of restaurants, shops and lovely little laneways to explore right outside your door. Despina, our host, was so helpful and welcoming. We had such a lovely stay and I hope to be back and visit again soon!

The host is amazing! She provided free welcome snacks and cold drink upon our arrival and have been very responsive to us with our late arrival.

The staff and location were the stars of our stay. Despina and her son, George, were the most helpful and kind hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Every question answered, and problem solved. They were the best! The studios were specious with good amenities (frig, hot plate, washer, patio seating.) They had a local charm to them that we enjoyed. The location was excellent. Close walk to everything. Easy access to the beach and taxi drop off areas. Tip: Be sure and use Google Maps to locate property otherwise you could find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

More like an air bnb than a hotel. We stayed in a nice and spacious suit with a small kitchen and full size bathroom. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was a lot of fun since it was in the old town part of the city where no cars are allowed. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. There is plenty to enjoy in walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay in Chania. The location of the studio is excellent, right in the old town. Parking was convenient and free, just a couple of blocks away. The host was very helpful and kind, providing us with towels for the beach and a sun umbrella. We were greeted with lemonade which was very nice too. The beds weren't terrific they were a bit old and slightly uncomfortable but not a big problem.

just to say i concur with all the wonderful reviews people have made about Iiason studios and the wonderful host Despina, we stayed here for 5/6 nights and could not have asked for more. Any help we needed from Despina such as organising taxi to airport was sorted no problem.

As always, a helpful and nice host, in a well kept small small hotel. Ideal location , safe place and nearly all room got balcony/mark space. The host Despoina answers on phone and email prompt and polite. Quitet at night. Not luxury studios, but charme.

I had the pleasure of staying here twice in the last 10 days. On the ground floor I enjoyed the outside table where I must feature in 50+ holiday photos as the street seems a very popular place to take photos! For the last 4 nights I stayed on the top floor in Rosemary. This has a small balcony and access to a large roof terrace which was perfect for my art making. The rooms are very clean and equipped with everything you need. They are spacious and are situated in an old building full of character. They are located in my favourite part of town, close to the parking if you can find a space! You are in close proximity to my two favourite shops in Chania, Yo-Yo for handmade cotton T-shirts and Almeida jewellery which makes bespoke pieces mostly from silver and semiprecious stones. The excellent vegan restaurant Pulse is just around the corner serving delicious food from breakfast through to dinner. I am by the way an omnivore. An excellent wine bar is opposite Oinoa serving local wines and simple but delicious food. Their main restaurant is also very good. Highly recommended. Despoina is a fabulous host and is fluent in English.
