Aris Boutique Hotel ★★★
"Highly recommend for a boutique, quiet and relaxing stay. The place is modern, artistic and peaceful. They provide a delicious fresh high quality breakfast. The beds are very comfortable. The people at the front desk and in the kitchen are kind, welcoming, and helpful. It's toward the end of the peninsula, so we had great views and still easy walking to both beaches and restaurants. Definitely would come back!"
Diana Rooms ★★★
Hyperion City Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"This hotel is very nice and clean, it has a nice pool outside and awesome balcony view. Room was very nice."
Cocoon City Hostel ★★
"Great location, in the core position of Chania. The amenities are new and clean, and the room is tidy. Maybe it’s off season so I haven’t seen any staff either check in nor check out, but it’s not bad for me."
Spilia Village Hotel & Villas ★★★★
"We were stopping at a villa in the village and went to the hotel for dinner one night. We thought the food was very overpriced and fairly average quality, but it is a lovely location and the staff were excellent and very friendly. I guess its primary purpose is as a hotel rather than as a restaurant."
Artemis Apartments ★★
"We got a large apartment well equipped with cooking utensils. There is a large, well maintained pool, quiet on the premises during our stay. We traveled often and it was important that the bus stop was close by. Excellent value for money!!!!"
Hippie City Hostel ★
"The room was what you'd expect for the price. It was a bit dirty, and I didn't feel it matched the photos. However, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful! Even though their English wasn't fluent, they used a phone app to translate and communicate with me. They even let us watch the World Cup match on the rooftop until 1 AM, which was really great."
Sun and Sea Plus Resort ★★★★
"The environment is beautiful, and it's just a few minutes' walk to convenience stores and restaurants. The hotel is very popular; I couldn't even get a one-hour late checkout. The private pool was a real treat; you could just open the patio door and jump right in."
Anais Collection Hotels & Suites ★★★
"Well-located hotel. Two gyms and two swimming pools. Beach a one-minute walk away. Very good value for money."

Theos Village Apartments
"Lovely family run apartments in a good location for transport to Chania and the few gorgeous beaches nearby. The apartment was cleaned every day by lovely cleaners and the family who own the apartments were very welcoming and helpful regarding information on buses , restaurants and beaches ."
Samaria by the Sea
Falasarna Bay
"Great value ,friendly, family operated. Great views. Helped us with a car problem no problem. located above the beach what more can you ask."
Kaliviani Traditional Hotel
"What an amazing place to stay ! Kaliviani Traditional Hotel was all we had wished for… beautiful hotel, clean rooms and a great host ! Tasty Greek style breakfast was included with our stay. Great fir couples and certain rooms enough for families."
Solimar Aquamarine Resort
"The true definition of Greek hospitality. The staff are kind, welcoming, always smiling, and genuinely eager to help. From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel truly welcome. Despite the high level of professionalism and attention to detail, you feel as though you are being hosted by one big family. A special mention goes to Dina, the Front Office Manager, to Mario, who always makes sure you enjoy the finest drinks, and to Markos, the Resort Manager, who ensures that everything runs smoothly. The buffet is outstanding and can easily compete with those of the world's leading all-inclusive hotel chains. The cleanliness of both the rooms and the public areas is truly remarkable. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!"
Avra Imperial Hotel
"Absolutely top-notch staff service! The dining was also superb, and the views were incredibly stunning. The only issue was that the elevator in the lobby frequently malfunctioned, getting stuck and not opening its doors unless someone pressed the button from the outside. As for hardware, the power outlets on the walls in the room were a bit loose. Other hardware was fine."
Atlantica Kalliston Resort - Adults Only
Myrion Beach Resort & Spa - Adults Only
"A wonderful hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. The food at both breakfast and dinner is delicious, with a wide choice. Plenty of sun loungers by the pool and on the beach. There are music programmes at the pool in the evenings. We rented a private pool room which was absolutely worth it, very pleasant after a hot day. Everything was perfect."
Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & Spa
"We have scored this hotel a 3 out of 5 based on a blend of expectation, value for money and our experience. We stayed here as a couple for a week early July not long after the hotel’s opening. First things first, this is not what I would call a “Resort” hotel as the name suggests, there are very limited “Resort” facilities. As an example there are extremely limited sun beds around a small outdoor pool on the roof terrace where access to sun and a sunshade was pretty much impossible given the approach to sun bed reserving other guests were taking!! I can imagine when full or busy the roof area could feel even smaller. I would suggest a proactive approach by staff to managing the pool area would help. I would not consider this a great hotel for a family holiday unless simply serving as a base for days out at the beach etc. Whilst other reviews have mentioned a private beach area, this was certainly not the message we were directly given when we asked via Messenger before we arrived and was definitely not promoted as an available feature during our stay. There are no other hotel-organised entertainment options - in simple terms the hotel is mis-named as a ‘resort’. Think more a couples hotel or typical nicely appointed Hilton property with some relaxation areas. We didn’t try the spa. As expected there are a few teething issues:- the great ‘a La carte’ breakfast offering was somewhat haphazard in terms of length of service and consistency of being offered the various pastries, cold cuts and cheeses available although all food was great quality and very plentiful. Service from all staff, although new, was exceptional, friendly, courteous and aimed to please. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner but enjoyed fantastic cocktails, sushi and snacks at the rooftop terrace. Given its proximity to the old town, we got the impression that dinner time in the restaurant was ‘quiet’ without the vibrancy of the Chania port and old town and having done a quick comparison on our costs for eating & drinking out generously every lunch and dinner in various places compared to the all-inclusive option, I would not consider the all inclusive great value for money for the average couple. Other small niggles included a lack of drawer/shelf space for storing clothes and a general lack of promotion of the services available or communication 0n things like the in-room technology and beach areas etc. and squeaky beds! Having said all that, the location is phenomenal within 10 minutes easy walk of the Port and Old Town; short airport transfer from Chania; the property is beautifully appointed as are the rooms with large beds and great shower; the balcony plunge pool is more gimmick than usable, but a nice add on; staff are super-nice and all food and drink was excellent. In summary, a few early niggles, some difference to initial expectation, fantastic location, nothing to be truly disappointed by other than the lack of sun beds & beach beds and my"
Evexia Boutique Hotel & Spa
"A wonderful, relaxing 5 night stay. The hotel was pristine - obviously new and it shows. The decor, ambience and smells all contributed to a perfect stay. Rooms were spacious, spotless and comfortable. Staff were friendly and always helpful."
Cretan Dream Royal
"Everything was great. Good hotel. Beautiful and well located, 20 minutes from Chania."
Nontas Hotel Apartments
"The apartments were lovely well equipped with very comfortable beds, the staff were only too pleased to help and very friendly, the pool and pool area were lovely and clean, the bar is open from 8 till 8 selling snacks and drinks. It is in a brilliant location 5 minute walk to the beaches there are lots of little beaches around the area. There are lots of bars and restaurants also 5 to 10 minutes walk away, the hotels on the beach allow you to eat there which is a lovely place to watch the sunset. There are buses into chania old town every 5 minutes, the bus stop is outside the apartments. Chania is a beautiful nostalgic place to visit and has an abundance of excellent restaurants and bars. We hired a car from a hire car company which was next door to the apartments this was brilliant too we went up into the hills and it was so beautiful and peaceful the roads were very quiet. All in all I give this place a 5 star"
Aestas Apartments
"We arrived to find room not suitable and the owner was dishonest in stating they would cancel the reservation. Do not book here"
Giannoulis – Cavo Spada Luxury Sports & Leisure Resort & Spa
"We booked this hotel with Tui just a week before departure. We wanted a swim up room and this hotel certainly ticked that box. From the minute we arrived the staff were amazing. They entertained our 3 year old whilst we completed the check in process. Our bags were taken to our rooms for us which was very welcome after the flight and bus transfer. We had a swim up room off the main pool, it was very clean and exactly as hoped for. The pool was very quiet, as it was for the entire stay. It is as good as the photos suggest. We never waited more than a couple of minutes for a drink at the pool bar which was fantastic, the kids especially loved the iced coffee's. The atmosphere throughout the holiday was certainly relaxed. It didn't matter if you were in the pool, restaurants, bars or the beach. It always felt quiet. We never took up any of the sporting options although they looked great. We never ventured outside of the hotel so could not comment on the location of anything in the vicinity. We enjoyed the food and despite eating at different times most days found the restaurant to be quiet. There was certainly plenty of variety and our kids never complained. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and thought it was great value for money. We will be back here for sure. Massive shout out to the staff, from the reception staff to the cleaners they were nothing short of fantastic. We have to say a special thank you to the gentleman in charge of the restaurant and Giorgos in the main bar who made our little boys holiday with how friendly they were"
Giannoulis - Grand Bay Beach Resort (Exclusive Adults Only)
"Great hotel, very nice service, delicious food and room hotels clean and modern, I highly recommend. It was a pleasure to be a guest there. Greetings to the best waiter Mateo and dear Zoe❤️"
Ilona Apartments Chania
"The apartment has a good location (near the beach, bus stop, two supermarkets and the sea is a 5-minute walk away). There is a washing machine on the top floor that you can use. For the price we paid, it was generally good. On the downside, during our 9 night stay, they changed our bed linen and towels several times and never washed the floor. The kitchen is missing a frying pan."
