"Absolutely top-notch staff service! The dining was also superb, and the views were incredibly stunning. The only issue was that the elevator in the lobby frequently malfunctioned, getting stuck and not opening its doors unless someone pressed the button from the outside. As for hardware, the power outlets on the walls in the room were a bit loose. Other hardware was fine."

"Great hotel for Adults. Rooms absolutely spotless. Just a couple of improvements could make this as close to perfection, Breakfast absolutely superb with a wide varied choice of. The only thing we found is the coffee was always lukewarm. Also porridge lukewarm. Mini bar in room had only water , it would be nice to have a better choice without the hassle of room service. The hotel is a little far out, so if you wanted to experience different restaurants etc, then I would highly recommend a car. Pool and sunbathing area 5* and a shout out to the lady life guard she’s so friendly and helpful. Reception are friendly however when we asked at the start of our holiday for a late check out they advised the only way we could secure this was to pay €250. The alternative was to wait until the day of departure. When we enquired on the day of departure they said a late check out was €250. When I explained the above they called us back and we paid €100 for 5 hours."

"If you’re not a guest of the hotel - the attitude to you will not enough respectful. Quality of the food is not about 5 stars hotel and has not a good looking (just see the picture) At 19.30 o’clock the stuff refused to make a tea, or other any hot beverages By the phone no possibility to make a reservation, nobody answers The person who makes reservations, Maria Syggenioti disoriented clients. Firstly she book you a table and closer to the evening has just sent a text message “sorry we overbooked”, then didn’t pick a phone. When you come without reservation- there are empty tables, and you can easily select a place where to chill. Awful service, don’t recommend to visit this place"

"We spent a week in Kato Daratso and stayed in the Nontas Hotel. The room was big, comfortable and clean and catered for our needs adequately. The staff who I did engage with during our stay were helpful and friendly. We did not use the pool area, or the snack bar so I cannot comment. I was slightly disappointed that we had to keep hold of our towels from the room for the late check out, and also had to leave our bags in the court yard area. The beach was beautiful, and the little cafe was great, nice food, a good selection of drinks, and friendly service. A trip to Chania is a must."

"Had a top floor room with a view to die for, close to the harbour quite rustic with modern bathroom. Booking direct was easy with assistance / advice on parking and an early check in, rapid response to a few emails. Warned prior that there was no lift but had assistance with bags etc. Service wise, for our stay of a couple of nights George was a mine of information and assistance, very much appreciated."

"Excellent value for money, super clean rooms, and a super friendly and helpful staff. It's a 20-minute drive from the center of Chania, and there are many restaurants and supermarkets near the hotel. The nearby beaches are nice, but I still recommend traveling further. In my opinion, the best beaches in western Crete are Kalypso Beach (located within a resort but still accessible) and White Beach (also within a hotel but still accessible)."

"We booked this hotel with Tui just a week before departure. We wanted a swim up room and this hotel certainly ticked that box. From the minute we arrived the staff were amazing. They entertained our 3 year old whilst we completed the check in process. Our bags were taken to our rooms for us which was very welcome after the flight and bus transfer. We had a swim up room off the main pool, it was very clean and exactly as hoped for. The pool was very quiet, as it was for the entire stay. It is as good as the photos suggest. We never waited more than a couple of minutes for a drink at the pool bar which was fantastic, the kids especially loved the iced coffee's. The atmosphere throughout the holiday was certainly relaxed. It didn't matter if you were in the pool, restaurants, bars or the beach. It always felt quiet. We never took up any of the sporting options although they looked great. We never ventured outside of the hotel so could not comment on the location of anything in the vicinity. We enjoyed the food and despite eating at different times most days found the restaurant to be quiet. There was certainly plenty of variety and our kids never complained. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and thought it was great value for money. We will be back here for sure. Massive shout out to the staff, from the reception staff to the cleaners they were nothing short of fantastic. We have to say a special thank you to the gentleman in charge of the restaurant and Giorgos in the main bar who made our little boys holiday with how friendly they were"
