Charleston Marriott

I stayed at the hotel for three days to attend a conference. My first impression was that the room was spacious enough for a solo stay, equipped with a coffee pot, though the refrigerator was empty. However, complimentary drinking water was available at the front desk, and a microwave was also accessible. The bathroom fan made a friction noise when operating, so I chose not to use it. Additionally, it was a self-circulating system rather than being connected to an exhaust line, which I found somewhat unexpected.

We had an amazing stay! The staff was very professional and accommodating. Very spacious and well decorated property. We will be staying at this property when we come back to Charleston!

Very old hotel, rooms small, popcorn ceiling, probably hasn’t been updated in 25 years, paint falling off building on the pool side portion, definitely not worth the amount I paid

From front desk, to valet, to bar and restaurant staff, I was underwhelmed by the service and attentiveness that I received. Actually walked out of an empty lobby restaurant because I was never greeted by a server. The Marriott should be better for 500.00/night. Lobby seemed disheveled most of the time, staff showed no enthusiasm and room was dated and small with next to zero amenities

Our stay was quite comfortable. The hotel grounds and our room was very well-kept. The staff was friendly and the food was great!

Asked for balcony and didnt get one Bathrooms were extremely tight as well Expected marriott to be more spacious 8-10min ride to king st by uber

This property is undergoing a renovation and it's hard to tell that any progress is being made. The view from our window was a bunch of old toilets left sitting outside. The hallways and rooms smell like very strongly scented deodorizer, which attaches itself to everything you bring with you. They don't even offer free coffee in the lobby in the mornings but instead charge you $4 for a crappy cup of Starbucks. What makes it much worse is how overpriced the rooms are. There's nothing here worth paying $500 a night for.

I was shocked that they charge $18 a day to self park on the lot. No water in the room. No breakfast. Over priced with poor service. We stayed for two days and never received clean towels.
