The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but needs refurbishing. There was plenty of hot water. We arrived on Saturday evening and were told that the hotel restaurant is not open at the weekend. This is not made clear on the booking page. However, there was a private booking for 80 people, on Saturday evening, so the restaurant was open, but no tables had been reserved for other guests. Food outlets are extremely limited nearby so we had to drive into the city centre to find a restaurant. Multiple road works, 30km speed limit and appallingly poor town planning made it very difficult to find our way to a car park near the city centre. Not a good experience, after a long drive from Calais.

We only booked this hotel because the details said it had a restaurant, and after a long journey we just wanted to relax at the hotel. When we arrived we were told that it was shut until September. At breakfast we were ignored for at least 15 minutes before we were finally seated. Unfortunately there was no food left to eat so we left and asked for a refund. The excuse we were given by a staff member was that it was a busy time! She did offer us all a hot drink which we appreciated.

Great budget hotel British couple. Mostly enjoyed the stay. Reception was bilingual, restaurant server was not but did their bestz Book your table early if you want to eat here, they had run out of a few things by the time we sat down to eat. The room was incredibly quiet with thick blackout curtains. We were disappointed with the air conditioning, which didnt cool the room well at all
