It's especially beautiful at night when the lights are on. Outside the village gate is a square, and you can even watch performances from the guesthouse upstairs, perfect if you want to avoid the crowds. There's a small river in front, and the flowers in the courtyard are exceptionally vibrant. The owner also has an adorable 8-month-old dog. The room itself is clean and tidy, and the owner is incredibly kind, offering tips on what to do and recommending great food. We had a wonderful trip overall."

"This hotel is perfectly situated on a hillside in the heart of the village, offering convenient access and excellent views. The service is incredibly attentive, with seamless arrangements for transfers to and from the scenic area entrance. Every staff member is genuinely warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Breakfast is prepared with great care, and they even sent us off with a small gift and drinks for our journey. What truly stands out is that every evening, the guesthouse hosts 4-5 incredibly talented artists performing Dong Grand Songs. Listening to them up close is a truly enchanting experience, like celestial music, and a wonderful artistic treat. This performance significantly enhanced our stay."

"This guesthouse is stunning and amazing at the same time. I work in the tourism field and I have never seen such an amazing and accurated caring for guests. The host and his wife are the nicest persons ever met in my life. Knowledgable in everything, excellent professional hosts who know how to make your trip an amazing and successful trip. Rooms are clean, spacious, with all the amenities a guest needs with a really good sense for the design. At the ground floor they have such a nice space for all guests where people can relax themselves by reading, drinking a good cup of local tea or coffe and simply facing the mesmerising view of the Dong Village and experiencing an indoor campfire. We had a wonderful night around the fire with some new Chinese friends and the host too. We sang all together and there was no language barrier which could stop us. We had such a wonderful moment. One of the best in my life. Breakfast is speechless. Something extremely good with lots of varieties of food. They know how to accomodate every single request. This place is a AAAAA place. Thanks for all the beautiful memories you gave us."

"The room was very nice and spacious, with good lighting and large windows. The facilities were complete, the air conditioning was powerful, the room was clean, the toilet was clean, and all disposable toiletries were complete. The owner was warm and hospitable and patient. He provided shuttle service to and from the scenic area multiple times. When I contacted him, he responded promptly and was always online. He gave us discounted tickets for the bonfire party and even chatted with us in the evening while we drank local glutinous rice wine. There's also a restaurant downstairs, which is very convenient. I'll be back next time!"

"Nice room and nice view from our hotel room which was one of the highest point from Zhao Xing Dong Village. The hotel provided free pick up service at nearby Cong Jiang HSR station and also sent us there to continue our Chong Qing trip via HSR. The breakfast was good and they provided Latte for us besides Chinese Tea We needed to pay RMB80 each for our entrance fees in Dong Village. There was one welcome tribe show which was free and also a complimentary singing teaching session by the Dong tribe."

"The room wasn't big, but the furnishings were fairly comfortable, and the view was good. However, there were no screens on the windows. I should remind the owner that the hotel picks up passengers from the village entrance, but not from the scenic area entrance or the high-speed rail station. I really didn't sleep well. For two nights, from midnight to 1 a.m. each night, there was a crazy chorus of lusheng (a traditional Chinese wind instrument) being played downstairs, a large group of people playing together! It could drive anyone, no matter how tired or sleepy, crazy. I didn't sleep well for two nights in a row, and even fell asleep while sitting on the covered bridge during the day…"

Cleanliness: It's very clean. The ground floor has a spacious and bright lobby with modern decor. The rooms feature large floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful views of the rice paddies. Both the room and bathroom are spotless, with no unpleasant odors, which made our stay feel very secure. Environment: Located in Shangzhai, the environment is very peaceful and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the village center. We slept wonderfully at night. Plus, the room windows are soundproof; once closed, you can't even hear the rain outside, which is truly commendable 👍. I think staying here is better than other B&Bs in different locations, and it's also closer to the Tang'an Terraces. Excellent. Service: Compared to the facilities, cleanliness, and environment, the service is the most praiseworthy! They provided timely pick-up and drop-off at the high-speed rail station, helped with our luggage, and offered complimentary coffee and water. Any issues were promptly resolved by the front desk staff. The owner was also very accommodating. When leaving, knowing we hadn't visited the viewpoint, he even offered us a ride up to take photos. Overall, my family and I were very satisfied with this B&B booking! If we have a chance to visit again in the future, we will definitely book here again! Highly recommended!"

"The Creekside Inn has modern, elegantly designed rooms (I can’t emphasize that enough), a very good location with beautiful views, and a friendly, capable staff, that truly goes out of its way to be helpful— all of this at quite favorable prices. The water is hot and the bed is heated for winter in the mountains. I stayed four days, and would’ve stayed longer had I had time, just because I felt so wonderfully at home there. I left with plans to return with my wife next year. English spoken. Oh，and I got a splendid breakfast tailored to my individual dietary requirements! I have visited 35 countries and traveled all over China, and I have never been happier with my accommodations anywhere!"
