Sheraton Zhanjiang Hotel Reviews

This time, my grandparents were driving back to Chengdu from Sanya and wanted to stop in Zhanjiang. They saw that the Sheraton was ranked number one on the luxury list and was very close to Jinshawan, where they wanted to go, so they booked this hotel. Facilities: My grandparents reported no damaged areas. The balcony needs to be specifically opened by housekeeping, which I assume is for safety reasons. The decor is generally a bit older, but it still looks quite good in pictures. Cleanliness: The bathroom glass and floor were very clean and sparkling. Overall, there were no major issues with cleanliness. Service: The front desk staff had an excellent attitude and proactively informed us about nearby attractions. Housekeeping provided turn-down service, which included placing a rug by the bed, folding the duvet corners, preparing new slippers, and providing fresh glasses and water. The hotel called me in the morning to ask about my needs, which is quite rare. The Shangri-La in Nanning, which I booked for my next stop, didn't even call beforehand. I believe luxury five-star hotels and above should always make a pre-arrival call or send a pre-arrival email. The executive lounge has a great view, and the room also offered a good view in the morning. Overall, there weren't many issues, and there were some pleasant surprises. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.

Great location! The beach is right downstairs, and it's convenient to get to the old town. There's a shopping mall and a convenience store nearby. We stayed in the Ambassador Suite on the 27th floor, which was perfect for three families. We also got to enjoy the executive lounge, and the kids absolutely loved it. We'll definitely be back!

The toilet was clogged on the first night, so I called housekeeping to fix it. It got clogged again the next day, so at noon, I went down to the front desk and spoke to the front desk manager. He was very nice and helpful. He came up with a bellboy to confirm the clogged toilet and then moved us to room 1321. Amenities: The hygiene was terrible. The female receptionist on the first night was extremely rude. We arrived after 8 PM and had booked for three nights. She completely ignored our request for a room upgrade. And to top it off, the toilet in our first room was overflowing with poop.

The room is huge and super clean! It was the best among the three five-star hotels we stayed at during our trip, even better than the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou! Keep up the good work! I'd gladly come back to Zhanjiang many times just for your hotel! Cleanliness: Extremely clean Service: Very, very well!

Upscale, clean, with excellent soundproofing and privacy. The bed is super comfortable! Facilities: Feels luxurious, like a home away from home. Hygiene: Spotless, not a single odd smell. Environment: First-class sea view, with the beach right downstairs 🏝️ Service: Five-star service, with smiles all around.

Our family of four had a great stay! The bunk beds for the kids were safe and comfy! I only took photos of the view outside the window.

The hotel is a bit old, and I noticed a slight carpet smell when entering the room. The location is great though, and it was lovely to take a walk along the waterfront in the evening. Since the weather was still a bit chilly, I didn't get to try the outdoor infinity pool, but my friends used the indoor pool, sauna, and gym, and they found it to be a good and clean experience. Other than the one staff member at the main entrance when we arrived (who didn't open the car door or help with luggage, perhaps a temporary worker), the service was excellent. The buffet breakfast food was a bit disappointing, except for the freshly made rice noodle rolls.

I really love this hotel, it's definitely one of the top ones in Zhanjiang. The high-floor indoor and outdoor swimming pools are amazing, especially the outdoor one with its incredible sea views. The sea view rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are huge too. The hotel's buffet ingredients are decent, though the food isn't kept warm very well, and the taste is generally just average. However, the cheong fun at breakfast is excellent. It's super convenient to step out of the hotel and take a stroll across the street; the scenery there is lovely.

The hotel is fantastic, with a beautiful view from the window. It's just across the street from the beach, making it super convenient for playing in the sand or enjoying the night view. There are also many commercial areas nearby, so finding places to eat is really easy. The hotel's pool is gorgeous too, and it's so comfortable to go for a swim in the evening!

After all, it's a five-star hotel, so the location is, naturally, unbeatable. It's right by Golden Sands Bay, and finding places to eat is super convenient. For those driving, parking is easy with plenty of spaces. The morning tea at the hotel offers great value for money, and guests even get a discount. You can deduct the cost from your accommodation deposit at checkout.

I've stayed at two Sheratons in Zhanjiang, and this one in the city center is definitely much better in terms of conditions and environment than the Four Points by Sheraton in Wuchuan. The room is very spacious, facilities are complete, and the bedding is comfortable. The breakfast is not only abundant but also delicious. Right across the street, you'll find the famous Jinshawan Seaview Corridor, where many people go for morning runs. I happened to catch the sunrise while jogging there in the morning, which put me in a great mood.

Great location and a beautiful view! The front desk even gave me a free upgrade to a sea-view king room.

Whenever I return to Zhanjiang, this hotel is my top choice. The location is superb; it's just a short walk across the street to Jinshawan Beach. It's so pleasant to stroll along the beach, watch the boats in the harbor, and feel the gentle sea breeze during leisure time!

The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but the location is excellent. I was only planning to stay one night in Zhanjiang, but while taking the bus to the old town, I passed Jinshawan and decided to get off and extend my stay by another night, choosing this hotel. Zhanjiang is truly a city full of surprises; you've been keeping it a secret! This city should definitely be more popular. In the future, besides Hainan, I'll definitely consider Zhanjiang for a winter getaway.
