We have been staying at La Roseraie for over 30 years (over 40 years since I first stayed there) and have always had a friendly welcome, comfortable rooms and good food. The current owner welcomes us as friends and we enjoy chatting to her. It makes the long journey to the Dordogne easy as it is about half way to our usual destination (my parents house) and perfect for a one of two night stay on our way to and from the south west.

We have stayed at La Roseraie since I was a teenager (that is a very long time ago!) and have seen owners come and go but the hotel remains a comfortable and friendly place to stay over on our way to and from the Dordognes region where my parents live. The rooms are spacious and clean, the restaurant serves good food, the staff are friendly and overall it is good value for money.

Perfect location in Loire Valley. Friendly staff, excellent food- local selections, and beautiful property. Very close to Chateau Chenonceau for walking to the property. Would stay here longer next time.

Close by the chateau Good dinner - excellent desserts! and good breakfast Clean and spacious rooms Helpful staff One disappointing thing was that guests put their underwear / panties outside my bedroom and visible from the terrace to dry. Not pleasant. Maybe the owners could introduce some rules about this.

A traditional French hotel, friendly service, good food, a tricky staircase to negotiate, a rather small bathroom but the bedroom was fine. Very convenient for visiting the chateau and for watching hot air balloons flying over the chateau !

Perfect location to visit the chateau and we recommend the hotel restaurant as our meals and wine were pretty good. We stayed two nights in a larger room and two adult/teen children were in a twin room that was a bit small for them but at least had a separate toilet and shower. It is a traditional hotel wrt decor but is clean and the wifi was ok. Continental breakfast. Nice garden and pool and adjacent parking. NB no fridge in the room and the rooms are upstairs.

We have stayed at Hotel La Roseraie many times over many years and have enjoyed every one. Conveniently situated about half way from home in the UK to my parents home in the Dordognes, we have stayed here both at the start and end of our holidays. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff are friendly and the restaurant is good. The buffet breakfast is also very good.

The hotel is located in tiny village a 5 minute walk to the castle in Chenoceaux. Our room was huge with windows that looked out to the cute village. We enjoyed the gardens and the pool. Importantly the staff were all so helpful, taught me how to make a call in France, using the pool after a hot day and evening, did our laundry (washed and folded), directions to everything. Absolutely helpful and pleasant. Wonderful breakfast on site to start the busy days. Gorgeous gardens and grounds.

Avoid room 4. You can hear and feel the vibration from the heating all night which means it is like sleeping on an airplane. Nice decor, good pool, spacious room and decent en suites but ultimately, a room that is that noisy isn’t apt for sleeping.
