Magnotel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street store)

I recently stayed at this hotel, which was advertised as a four-star property, but my experience was far from what I expected. Based on the website description, we booked here hoping for a comfortable stay, but unfortunately, the hotel did not meet even basic standards. Here's a breakdown of the issues I encountered: 1. Room Door: After closing the door, there was a significant gap, allowing people to see inside the room from the outside. This made the room feel unsafe and uncomfortable. 2. No Air Conditioning: The room air condition is not working, which made it very difficult to sleep. 3. Broken Safety Box: The in-room safety box was not working, which added to my concerns about the security of my belongings. 4. Torn Towels: The towels provided were torn, which was unsanitary and unappealing. 5. Dirty Sink: The washbasin was filthy, with stains and grime left behind, which was completely unacceptable. Despite these numerous issues, the hotel refused to offer a free room change. We were left with no choice but to pay extra at the front desk for a different room, which was frustrating and disappointing.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location is very convenient and close to train station. The customer service was great and there were umbrellas for borrowing.

Clean hotel, good breakfast, super friendly and helpful staff. Central location makes going around attractions very easy!

breakfast is delicious, get the experience of making your own noodle which is interesting, location is very close to xiaoshizi metro exit 5b, at first hotel is a bit hard to find but inside is nice. The cleaning lady is also very polite.
