This little gem is smack bang in the centre of Chongking and central to everything. We loved our stay here and Guda, our host, was super helpful and friendly. I have to say that it's most probably one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in in China. The room was ample, spacious, clean, bright and airy with big windows and lots of light. Perfect after a day of sightseeing in this diverse and fascinating city. Suggestions: It can be a little confusing to 'find'. There are several rooms on different floors and ours was on the 12th. We arrived early (absolutely not the fault of the host), but it was a bit daunting to arrive on a floor and then have nobody there. A Chinese lady helped explain that reception was on the 30th floor. Once we headed up there we were helped by the very kind Guda, who immediately made us feel at home. Perhaps you could tell your guests to head to you on the 30th floor first. The only 'con' to the place is that upon arriving to the building, it's not really nice or overly clean. But if you can get past that, once you step into your room it will be an oasis of calm! The only other 'con' for me is the smoking policy in hotels that China has in general. Our room smelt great, and did not smell of smoke, but as soon as we stepped out we could often smell smoke from other rooms. I know I can't change the world, but travelling in China would be so much more pleasurable if I did not have to smell smoke in every crack and crevice. One can only hope this will change over time.
