Had lunch outside which was lovely, as for once it was warm and sunny. Hadn’t intended eating, but it was a great last minute decision. We just went for a burger and chips, which for someone who doesn’t normally eat burgers it was very tasty. Menu was a bit on the expensive side and limited choice. Staff were very friendly. Only negative comment was that when paying a 12.5% service was already added and no option to pay tip in cash which we prefer to do, just hope the tip is filtered through to the staff and not counted as part of their wages.

My wife and ~~I ate here last night. Brilliant!!! Great range of Starters - the table next to our had an array of different starters for the evening. I had a Super Burger, and my wife hd what she describes as The Best Pork dish she has ever eaten (she's 75). Great Local Beers. Attentive, friendly, fun staff. I'm recommending this to as many people as are likely to visit the Cotswolds. Looking forward to our next visit to the New Inn and we'll tryout their Pizza Place .... The Stump as well next time. Thanks Guys.

We had planned our visit, reviewed the menu in advance, and arrived ahead of their dinner opening. They were unwelcoming and borderline rude. Instead of offering us a drink and good table to wait for their kitchen to re-open, they were dismissive and we took our business elsewhere.

Fantastic menu choice. I had the fish and the week before we had burgers which were insanely tasty! Amazing staff - so lovely and friendly and the restaurant is very relaxed - the only downside is the toilet location outside so not ideal in the rain!

I booked the New Inn with high expectations and initially we were impressed. Over time our initial perceptions changed. Yes, the food was very nice, but the menu is limited. Car parking can be an issue if the place is busy with no reserved spaces for guests. The shower mixer valve did not work leaving the water excessively hot and therefore could not use. When paying a premium price per night one expects all these things to work.

We were so looking forward to what promised to be a beautiful weekend at New Inn. The pictures looked amazing and we’d read great reviews. We turned up for my husband’s birthday weekend and our room was a white box - super soulless and nothing like what was shown on the website. The walls were so thin we could hear the guests upstairs talking way past midnight and footsteps and the loo flushing every time they went to the bathroom. Despite arriving on time for breakfast on Saturday morning (before 10am) we were told I couldn’t have a ‘speciality’ coffee (latte) because they were busy. I explained that I didn’t eat breakfast so surely it would be quicker to make a coffee than a full English that I could have ordered?! We moved room but found stained loo seats, a filthy loo brush, a written on tea bag (!) and were genuinely really surprised at the lack of cleanliness. Having said that, Olivia and Gaia were amazing with our daughter who has autism - super kind and accommodating of her requests to meet the chef and have paper to draw on. This property could be amazing but we would never come again as it is. Or recommend it.

We stayed here for one night in December 2023 so a little late in posting. We had an outside room accessed by some external stairs. We were rather taken aback with the state of the bathroom in particularly the stained loo seat which looked as though it had welcomed quite a few drunken revellers over time - it wouldn’t take much to notice and change this, which makes one wonder what else goes unnoticed. We were also lucky enough to find a pair of underpants and socks in the drawers from a previous guest which suggests cleaning is not a priority! Breakfast was reasonable but only served from 8am so if you have to get away early, forget it. We did request an earlier breakfast time which we agreed with the staff the evening before, but clearly the message didn’t get through and when we turned up 10 mins early, we were met with disgruntled staff wondering why we were there. This is just a pub with rooms, nothing more.

Depite reading some fabulous reviews prior to booking, we were disappointed overall with our stay. We travel a lot, particularly in the Cotswolds and know of many beautiful little inns with rooms. This is sadly not one that we can recommend, however our evening meal T-bone steak on the Valentines menu was excellent. The bar area is small with little seating in the evening and a limited menu. Great if you love a choice of 6/7 burgers, but restrictive if you don't. The photos tell some of the story of Room 3. A bland and tired affair with cracked wall plaster, cables hanging down and tea cups on the dirty side panel, alongside the bin. A filthy loo brush on full view in the bathroom and the noisiest floorboards in Cirencester above, amplifying every move of our fellow residents into the small hours. Breakfast was a serious let down on the meat front. One tiny ***** of streaky bacon and a fatty sausage that deployed its liquid fat payload over my top at the first stab of the knife. You can easily find a better experience in the Cotswolds, so you guessed it, we won't be going back.

Our First Visit Food was very nice but £24 a plated roast + service charge which came with delicious cauliflower cheese . Starters / Small plates were all £10 /£11 all excellent , puddings £8 each The service was not very good , inexperience young staff , didn’t seem to know what they were doing . Mains were not all served at same time to the table , 10/15 minute delay , the roast all came out plated up , we asked for more gravy as there wasn’t much gravy on the plate and horseradish sauce but it was slow coming out No complaints about the food but considering The Hotel is rated 5 Star I was a tad dissapointed with service levels given the costs expected better
