We spent a wonderful three days in this place. It was excellent. The staff was very helpful. We went on a lovely hike. Did some zip lining and had a massage and swim in the pool. The restaurant was also top-notch with excellent food big shout out to Alfonso Suarez, who is our guide and very helpful and attentive to all our questions, great place to visit with children . My parents stayed in the Adult only Lodges These were beautiful and very comfortable. They are fairly newly built. We stayed in the cabanas. I found these to and the beds were not very comfortable . The entire trip was otherwise an amazing experience. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I went to las Animas after hiking in Cajon Maipo. We enjoyed a post-hike ice cream and espresso in the cafe, which is in a lovely forested location near the river. Afterwards, we did the zipline and canopy. This was a super fun experience, and we felt completely safe the whole time. The cables and structures were clearly well built and well maintained, and the guides--Ivan, Carlos and especially Gabriel--were entertaining and friendly, and very attentive to our comfort and safety. At the price, it was a great bargain.

We weren't staying in the accommodation but if you want to cross the river and walk in the nature reserve / hills you need to book a guide with Cascada de la Animas. We went on a climb to the plateau (Mescata) ....it was steep and took an hr or so to go up. Great views back over the river and valley It was a bonus that Sebastian our guide could speak English well as this meant as well as guiding he could share his knowledge on the plants so big thank you to him.

My wife and I went just for a day (and no nights). We purchased the "Full Day" package, which included a guided 2hr horse ride, a lunch, access to the pool, and a guided hike to the waterfall. All 4 of those activities vastly exceeded our expectations. Valentina was an excellent guide for our horse ride, and gave us a fair bit more trust with our mounts than is typical in the USA. That was a pleasant surprise for us as intermediate riders, but the experience would have been accessible to newbies as well, provided that you are not particularly fearful of that type of experience. The lunch was fantastic, and although the "free" menu was limited, the fish and steak could easily have run us $50 apiece in the States. The dessert was great too, and the pisco sours were very refreshing as we ate overlooking the valley. During our afternoon free time, we wandered down to the pool, which is really more of a lagoon. We spent a few hours in the beautiful turquoise water in an idyllic setting in a partly-shaded meadow right up against the mountain. Finally, Sebastian took us on a hike up to the waterfall while sharing interesting and practical information about the local flora, fauna, history, and mythology. He was very engaging and very good at his job. Even though we speak Spanish, the Chilean dialect can be hard for us to understand. Although the staff was happy to talk with us in Spanish, they knew we were from the USA and also ensured we were always paired with guides who spoke excellent English, which was very helpful through the day. The only downside was the distance from Santiago. It wasn't that big of a deal, but one needs to either schedule transportation with Cascada de las Ánimas, or else plan to navigate the public transportation there with little help. Thankfully, we didn't meet a single unhelpful person during our time in Chile, so it wasn't a terribly intimidating affair. If we make it back to Santiago in the future (which I hope we do), we will definitely plan to spend more than just 1 day at Cascada de las Ánimas next time.

We had a fabulous stay. It is a lovely escape and really allowed us to enjoy the beauty of the Canyon region. Highlights included the ceviche from the restaurant, the stunning views horseback riding with Bastien and his mother, and an educational and scenic hike with Sebastien (who was accommodating and fun as a guide.) The guest room was well outfitted, comfortable, and spacious. Come prepared to be active and you will enjoy the Cascadas very much.

Unfortunately, I have to say that my experience here wasn't the best. Considering the price, I felt that much more could have been done to make my short stay more welcoming than the one I experienced. Their customer experience was terrible. For context, I made a reservation on a Tuesday night to arrive the following day. I was coming to this place for one night only, travelling from Santiago after finishing my work, expecting to see a meteor shower happening that night and relax. The reservation email said the front desk would be available until 9 pm, so I called them early on Wednesday to determine if any restaurants or food would be available in the evening. A lady told me that the restaurant would be closed and I should call the kitchen if I wanted to get more information. I honestly think this would be the task of the front desk person rather than myself. Also, why is there another phone to call for this? At least a transfer to the kitchen line would have been helpful. It's so inconvenient... I decided to grab food in Santiago after work as I didn't want to wait until the next day to eat, so I knew I would arrive a bit past 9 pm. I tried to call them more than ten times between 7 and 8 pm to let them know that I was on my way. However, NOBODY picked up the phone. I was so worried about arriving there and finding everything closed, yet, once I arrived at this place I saw two men chatting at the entrance, one of them was the front desk manager, and when I told them that I was trying to contact them he literally ignored me and say, "ah yeah, we don't pick up that line", I also told him that I emailed them in my efforts to reach out, same thing... what is purpose of the desk then?! Once I completed the check-in, I was led to the premium suite areas and yet, another disappointment: I see that the restaurant was actually open (!), and although about to close, still serving food to a couple at the moment of my arrival. I was so confused and frustrated because I ran from Santiago and ate so fast to be able to arrive on time and then find an actual source of food available... Anyways, the same person serving told me that I still had time to order from the menu, this could be done by a whatsapp number from my room or I could just go to the restaurant area. Once I drop my luggage I returned to the restaurant area and boom! it was closed... at this point I just decided to try and finally chill but feeling totally disappointed by the whole customer service part of this place (11 pm already)... On the following day, I went for a hike which is included with the premium suite rentals. The guide,I believe his name was Sebastian, was super nice and provided an awesome and insightful guided tour to Cascadas de las Animas. This part was excellent. At the return from the hike I was hoping to jump in the pool, so I headed to the one pool I was told to be available for everyone. It was quite packed with day visitors, and I sort of had resigned at this point to co

We went to hike to plateau for the day. Mario our driver was great, even if he did not speak English and we did not speak Spanish we were able to communicate. The drive to the area was lovely. Joaquin our guide was patient and keep a pace that was good for us. He had great knowledge of the area and was fun to be with. Well worth the trip!

We had a fantastic experience riding horses in Los Andes at Cascades de las Animas. Pablo, our guide, was excellent. So friendly, knowledgeable and made our time on the trek really special. Thank you Pablo! Unforgettable memories in beautiful Chile and we highly recommend this unique trip. We stayed in a cabaña for 3 nights, the whole place was utterly amazing, so relaxing, stunning nature, lots if activities to choose from and a perfect getaway so close to Santiago. 10/10

My two day/one night stay in Cascada de las Animas was honestly the best time I spent during my two months in Chile. Everything about this place is incredible. The infrastructure, food, activities, staff and accommodations were all a degree of absolute perfection. I went on two hikes (7km plateau and 2k Cascada) with my guide PEDRO who was incredibly kind and informative. He taught me a lot about the surrounding flora and fauna while also telling stories about local mythologies. I stayed in a dome next to the river and had one of the most peaceful evenings of my life watching the starts before bed and falling asleep to the sound of the water. I also treated myself to a holistic massage along with some time in the riverside jacuzzi which were very peaceful. I was lucky to go during the off- winter season so the resort was very calm/quiet and not crowded whatsoever. Every moment in this place will be extremely special to anyone who is looking for a natural Zen oasis within Cajon del Maipo. A true work of art. 10/10 would recommend. - Gracias Pedro por nuestra increible aventura!
