O7 Aloe Corralejo

Don’t usually post reviews but read a good few of these so thought I’d post incase it helps anyone! Just back from a week here and it was a great base for our family holiday. No complaints overall - and for the price we paid, it was more than adequate. Rooms We were in room 332 on third floor overlooking children’s pool. Spacious and clean. Balcony great size. Kids beds fine - bottom mattress lifts up to be off floor. Lovely view and balcony was a pure sun trap. No complaints, though did have to request them to clean the room as they hadn’t by day 3.. immediate apologies and put right. Food and drink The usual all inclusive - always found something nice to eat. Breakfast great. Good selection for kids and fussy eaters alike. Pizza was great, stone baked and plenty of mozzarella. Not huge drinkers but fine selection. Wine not great but fine with lemonade. Beer Lovely. Cocktails sugary and all tasted same. Own brand Baileys good. Location Bit out of the way (surely anyone knows this tho when booking?) however much closer than we thought to nearest Campanario shopping centre - literally 5/10 min walk and there’s a good handful of shops and bars. So not far at all! Short taxi ride to centre and less than ten euros to port for boat trips Entertainment Did kids disco and the live singer one night - but not our scene. Enjoyed peace of balcony and cards. As with all budget hotels the clientele can be a bit rough around the edges but great people watching and at end of day were all there to have a good time. Lots of mature couples (given the time of year) and very quiet (perfect!) Recommend the glass bottom mini cruise to lobos island and the oasis wildlife park Overall a fabulous week in a lovely island enjoying winter sun!

We stayed for 1 week from the end of September to beginning of October. Arrived at night so very dark on arrival, checked in and reception watched our cases as we went for food as the restaurant was still open. We finally found our room after wandering around like lost souls, this place is a bit of a maze but once you get your bearings your like a homing pigeon, even after a few vodka slushes. Room was great, good size living/kitchen room and big bedroom with plenty of storage, the only thing that was slightly disappointing was bathroom was dated. Bathroom was a great size and clean but needed to be updated. TV had English channels if you wanted to watch TV. Great view of the pool with the slides. Restaurant was good, pour your own drinks wine, beer and soft drinks. The food choice was ok lots of salad, pasta, cheese and the hot stuff/choice of meats every night. They gave you a plastic cup on check-in and this was changed very time you went to the bar, this was a great idea for the environment and no smashed glass any where. Staff were great a big shoutout to Idara & Maryann these ladies were brilliant and looked after us, especially when we went to the adults quiet pool the drinks they served us were great :). All staff were nice and friendly. It is a 10 minute walk to the local Hiperdino, and you pass a few bars on the way that play the football on the TV, drinks nice and not too expensive in the snooty fox. It was a good 20 minute walk in to Corralejo town we got a taxi and it didn't cost more than 5 euros. We loved our stay at the 07 Aloe Corralejo and would return, it was a bit far from the main drag and the beach but we still enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for 10 nights in November with my partner and my 2 year old. First time visiting this hotel and the island. I was sceptical when reading some of the reviews prior to going but we had an absolutely amazing time! The small kids pool was great for my little boy we spent most of our days here, always managed to get a bed. Plenty of food to choose from at dinner time, I’m a fussy eater but always managed to find something nice! The Italian restaurant is also lovely. The hotel is a little further away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but we walked into the town most nights with our little boy, found it perfect for getting him to sleep and walk off our food! Took us about 15/20 min. Corralejo is a lovely place with lots to do and see. The beach by Riu hotel is a must! Only cons I would have is the rooms are in need of an upgrade but we didn’t spend much time in here so wasn’t really an issue, the evening meal is also late in my opinion as it doesn’t open until 6:30 so isn’t great when you have hungry kids! Same with the mini disco starting at 8:30. The food choices for lunch also aren’t great, particularly for veggies. Overall we had an absolutely fabulous time and would definitely come back in a heartbeat!

Bit of a mixed bag here. The hotel has potential. A good location, walkable to shops, sand dunes, beaches etc. we visited on the back end of half term and it was busy. Arrived late and were given sandwiches and fruit which was a good gesture. The room was ground floor and basic. The bathroom is what lets it down. Greeted by cockroaches, it was clean BUT the shower has black mould, cracked doors and flooded the bathroom when used. We asked the cleaner for a mop and she implied we’d not closed the screens. The shower basin leaked, the plug wasn’t aligned and it subsequently drained in the bathroom. Beds were like slabs! More worrying though was the bedroom has mould appear on the ceilings and wardrobe by the end of our stay. However maid service was good, rooms and infact the hotel were kept clean. The food was varied enough and cooked well. Staff were polite and friendly. As one other has mentioned the hotel can’t be held responsible for other selfish holiday makers blaring their own music and disruptive behaviours, but they could do with being more assertive to ensure all guests had comfortable stays. Overall, it’s cheap but I really do feel they need to sort the rooms. Others had kitchenettes, whereas we just had a fridge. The area is stunning with lots to do. Shops restaurants and bars nearby.

Rooms- Rooms were cleaned every few days, bed sheets changed. A couple of cockroaches found in our room, we stayed in a room with a terrace, when you come to Fuerteventura you are bound to see cockroaches everywhere anyways. Air con didn’t work the majority of the time we were there, told jet 2 about this problem and it was fixed a couple days later, the next day the air con stopped working again. Some friends we came with got given an air com unit. Rooms were up to date and clean. Did not get given any water on our first night so we had to wait until the next morning to go to the restaurant to get water. Food- Lots of variety Some nights there was a theme (Chinese, Thai, Indian, etc) A children’s food area with pasta, chips, burgers and hot dogs every day which was great for my 2 picky children. Entertainment- We stayed for 10 nights, evening entertainment majority of the nights. During the day there would be games (archery, bingo) and music, the music got repetitive eventually with the same 10 songs on repeat all day. On an evening there would be a kids disco every night, then some sort of entertainment such as singers, magicians, bingo. Then after that some nights would be music. Games room which my children loved. Outside gym for all ages, kids club, football court, volleyball court. Not enough sunbeds I came with 8 people so it was a struggle finding sunbeds all together during the day so we would put them out on an evening. Woke up one morning to the towels thrown in the pool (not by staff) .

Arrived at the hotel on 4th October, everything seemed quite straight forward. We were allocated 333 and my parents and one of my child were allocated 332. So meant we were together as this was a family holiday! We were given a bag of room due to arrival being late evening which consists of a stale sandwich, black banana, and a pear- no water with no shops which were open nor any vending machines. My parents room were clean but very basic, when we entered our family room. The electric did not work, so we called the reception and they quickly got someone to us (this room were clearly now checked before given to us) We then discovered our air conditioning did not work, had no power at all. We called the reception again, the guy who did repairs came to our room with 2 fans so clearly knew the air conditioning did not work! These fans blew hot air around our room. At this point I was fuming. We had a 3 months old, 3 year old and 6 year old in our room and was 29 degrees. They came the day after to check the air conditioning unit and stated this was not an easy fix and gave us a portable air conditioning unit with a vent pipe which has to go onto balcony. I complained to the reception and requested another room with working air conditioning as I was not happy about leaving the balcony door open for the vent during the night with 3 very young children the banister on the balcony were also loose! We were told we would have another room the next day for both rooms as this was a family holiday. When we went to the reception the morning after and were told that they had two rooms opposite each other around the pool but again did not have any working air conditioning which again resulted in a portable air conditioning unit which left my children at risk again having access to the pool, one not being able to swim but has no fear. So I declined this offer from the hotel as we was in the same situation. We then got offered a ground floor room with working air conditioning which were much better but they did not offer my parents a room with us which meant our family were separated to the opposite end of the hotel. (My children went between both rooms during evenings getting ready)! The pool area is standard but loads of hazards, cracked tiles in baby pool. Corners of the edging around trees (tiles) cracked. Will leave images. They have no lifts so when we were allocated on the 3rd floor initially we had to carry the pram up and down very poor lighting stairs numerous times a day. A few days into the holiday my dad got some fish in sauce from the restaurant which were raw, the food were absolutely vile and children’s choice was the same every night pizza hotdogs chips pasta and sauce burgers. Which was nothing special. I would not even rate this a 3* hotel, this hotel needs some extensive renovations doing. The receptionist were very rude about every situation raised. We have asked to extend our time in our room tomorrow on departure and they have said t
