A fantastic nice surprise in the middle of nowhere to disconnect from the interconnected world! The hosts were fantastic and very friendly. They're both journalists who have travelled all over the world and we were very luckily to get to talk about common places my partner and I had lived or traveled to. Javier is a super chef with many stories to entertain and recommendations of what to do in the region and where to eat beyond Castilla if you're a foodie! The place is very dark and some may consider it kitsch and/or different, but the positive vibes of the hosts make it an unique experience! Highly recommendable if you want to disconnect! go to a rural bar in "El Pueblo" where everybody knows everybody except you! but everybody is friendly and one enjoys oneself and nobody is hassling you because you're a foreigner!

This place is a hidden gem in the middle of the Cuenca countryside and we were thrilled to discover it. The actual house itself is a beautiful, old building with a lot of history and character (it even has its own Visigothic cave!). It is tastefully decorated in an eclectic style, giving it a very interesting a**osphere. The rooms are fantastic and each one is different. One of the best things about La Quinta de Malu is its hosts, Javier and Malu, who were very attentive and really interesting people. We had great chats! Another key thing that was super important for us was the food. We were really impressed that they provided delicious homemade vegan options, which is rare in rural Spain. The location also speaks for itself, and something to highlight is the Roman site with really interesting ruins and artefacts. Since we went in the summer, we also enjoyed some live music in the village square.

Excellent service! Very nice experience... Warm, comfortable place and very quiet. Ideal for resting. Javier, its owner, cooked us excellent typical local dishes. At the same time, he recommended places to visit and spend the day. Super recommended.

I was deceived and scammed by this unpresentable person. I get 180 euros without attending his rural house. My fault for trusting me. They were all excuses for universal floods, power outages, blocked roads, etc. A real shame

The exquisite trea**ent, comfortable room, homemade food. I took advantage of the morning to visit the Roman ruins of Valeria, which are very close to the accommodation, and take a route along the Gritos river gorge and surrounding areas, which is beautiful and recommended for people who like the nature.

The house is beautiful and with all the comforts. Being there is like being transported in time, you can enjoy the past with the comforts of the present. An experience to repeat and recommend. Malu and Javier are charming, close and willing to help at all times. We will repeat. Thank you very much!!!

ATTENTION DANGER!!!! IS A GOTCHA. ALL positive opinions are FALSE. The owner shows her true status as a suburbanite when you express your disagreement with the deplorable situation of the establishment she runs. If the photos displayed of the accommodation could include the nauseating smell that exists in all the rooms, no one in their right mind would stay there. Given the terrible sanitary conditions of the room and bathroom, we could only endure one night in that place. As can be corroborated by other opinions, this situation caused the owner to fly into a rage, making all kinds of threats. He called us using tricks to get us to cancel the reservation we made with booking, offering us improvements in services and justifying his proposal for not being able to make payments by card..., we fell into his spider web, he deceived us, but worst of all, as I say It is the truly regrettable state of the establishment, if you can call it that, because it is the worst that one can imagine. Don't be naive and DON'T GO, they ruined our vacation days. Don't fall into the same trap. Although in our case, the move did not go well at all..., and she knows it!
