Wakapunku Boutique Hotel

The location is pretty nice, just 10 minutes walk to near tourist attractions. The room is clean everyday. Also included simple breakfast. Camilia is nice, she provides many information and recommendation for us.

Great Boutique hotel,close to everything, Camilla is fantastic, speaks excellent English, her recommendations of places to eat,shop and tours are spot on. Will definitely recommend to family and friends,would stay again when back in Cusco.

We stayed at Wakapunku Boutique Hotel in Cusco for our first two days before starting the trek to Machu Picchu. From the moment we arrived, Camila made us feel welcome. She was incredibly helpful with suggestions on things to do around town as we acclimated to the elevation, and she even prepared a sack breakfast for us to take on our early trip to Machu Picchu—all included. We truly felt safe and cared for during our stay. Do note that you will hear some outside noise, especially around 4:30 AM when many travelers are being picked up for their expeditions or day trips—but honestly, we made the same noise when we left for ours. The location is excellent, just a short walk to Plaza de Armas and all the main attractions. Breakfast was simple but just what we needed. Overall, a great little spot that we’d happily recommend.

We stayed here before and after completing a 5 day trek to Machu Picchu. Camilla was absolutely amazing, helping us arrange a ride to/from the airport, super responsive via texting on WhatsApp, and was so kind and welcoming. We noted that most places in Cusco aren't well insulated for sound, so I would recommend bringing ear plugs for nighttime, as they clean the streets and you can also hear dogs barking. Our room was very clean, had a nice little breakfast in the morning, good Wifi, and Camilla even makes sack lunches if you're leaving early in the morning and won't be there for breakfast. The location is perfect- very easy walking to the main downtown square, and also accessible by car (many streets in Cusco can't be driven on because of stairs). Definitely recommend!

The hotel is close to everything in Cusco, and the area is safe. The room (#5) was very cozy, clean and pleasant to be in. Also loved the early check-in (12PM) and the breakfast. Camila was very helpful, reachable all the time and helped me a lot with a small medical problem I had while there. I simply love boutique hotels like this one and I fully enjoyed my stay there 😃

The rooms are fantastic, especially the king-size room option with a king size bed. Spacious, impeccably clean, with lots of natural light and incredibly comfortable, it provided the perfect sanctuary after a day exploring the city and after a long day trekking around. The hotel is also remarkably quiet, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The location couldn’t be better! Nestled in a charming neighborhood near the Plaza de Armas, also near the street with the 12 angled-stone, it’s close to everything—restaurants, shops, and even a fantastic coffee shop “Altura” right next door. For the value, Wakapunku delivers an exceptional experience that rivals any luxury stay. If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a warm, personal touch, this boutique hotel is a must.
