Property is located centrally in Main square and hence everything is very convenient,
The inside look/room is little old, but I guess you aren’t going to be in room during the day.
Be mindful of weekends- the music from nearby pubs is loud and goes on late!!
Staff - Lys and Hernan - were very helpful (helped me with many questions ).

Good location, overall good value, but sound really carries. People are waking up early to go to Machu Picchu which is great! I would stay here again BEFORE Machu Picchu, but if you want to sleep in after Machu Picchu maybe not the best choice.

The hotel seems conveniently located close to the Plaza de Armas. However, it is too uncomfortable. The beds are not sturdy, are held in place with straps and creak every time you do the sightliest movement. Additionally, the windows are too thin and you can hear all the street noise, specially the all-night-long honking.

I liked that Liz was very nice and very on top of things as soon as I had a problem. She was very friendly and helpful with everything. The breakfast was really good too. Overall happy with my stay there.

Was disappointed in our stay At Villa Mayor. We stayed in a couple other hostels in the immediate area during our time in Cusco, all of them were within a couple of dollars of each other, and they were all significantly nicer and better service than Villa Mayor. Additionally the advertising on ********** was somewhat misleading as to the location and services available. I would put them in the $20-30 range for the area.

The experience with this Hotel was terrible. The only thing that saves it is the service from one of the girls at reception and the location. The facilities are noisy and full of small problems. Cusco is a region where you are naturally tired, a hotel with two flights of stairs and no elevator is unfeasible. In particular, in our case, we also had a lack of water for two nights in a row. But the icing on the cake is breakfast. Don't even accept it for free. They put some bread on the table, some juice, some coffee, butter and jam and offer you an egg. Two guests became ill after eating the egg for 4 days. Unfortunately, there is nothing to recommend about this hotel, just good luck to anyone who wants to take a chance.
