The woodworking alone took 15 months of meticulous carving, with all guest rooms and public spaces crafted from over-50-year-old wood. Specializing in traditional woodworking, local Dali artisans from Jianchuan hand-polished each piece, supplemented by imported natural wood wax oil for care. This preserves the wood's warm essence while ensuring pure, natural spaces. Every beam, post, window, and lattice carries the marks of time, conveying the warmth of handmade artistry. As a father of two, the host prioritizes sleep quality for family stays, equipping all rooms with 2-meter-wide mattresses and extendable tatami beds to prevent children from rolling off, allowing parents and kids to rest with Cangshan's cool breeze for a night of sound sleep. On nearly 700 square meters of land, only seven guest rooms are offered, embracing simplicity and leaving ample open spaces. The three-tiered courtyards are thoughtfully arranged, with flowing water and rustling trees. You can relax on the sofa listening to the wind, effortlessly switching between privacy and openness, embodying the true essence of "slow living." The homestay occasionally hosts starry sky barbecues, handcrafted butter tea, and tea-brewing gatherings, with the host personally teaching milk roasting and photography tips. You can also savor home-cooked delicacies made by the host's mother, requiring only the cost of shared ingredients to immerse yourself in the courtyard's cozy charm. Yiyue Residence is not merely a place to stay, but a continuation of craftsmanship and an emotional sanctuary. I chose this B&B primarily for its location: right by the National Highway, making Fengyangyi Village easily accessible. What stood out was its ability to offer a peaceful retreat away from the main road's noise, while still being incredibly convenient with small restaurants and convenience stores nearby – truly the best of both worlds. Upon arrival, the cleanliness was immediately noticeable; the floors were spotless. All the furniture and appliances looked brand new, a pleasant surprise compared to older B&Bs that often show wear and tear. The pillows were firm and comfortable, and the provided toiletries were of decent quality, not the usual cheap kind. In short, I had absolutely no complaints about my stay here.

In love with the place! We booked 2 nights here due to 去有风的地方 and had the most wonderful experience. Was told Rooms 5 & 6 were originally xiezhiyao’s room. The booking allows us access to Youfeng which is just right beside. The service and amenities were great, allowing us all the modern comforts that we need. Complimentary free afternoon tea and photoshoot are provided. The photos taken were so good that we ended up paying more to have more. The place is very quiet and can get quite dark outside of the compound at night, so do make dinner plans early. Not many dinner options nearby but we managed to find a pretty good dinner spot near by.

The staff reached out to us via WeChat before our arrival and kindly arranged a complimentary pick-up service from the train station — a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the entrance and guided through a smooth, hassle-free check-in process. The room was exactly as advertised: clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the addition of the smart toilet — a small detail that made a big difference in comfort. But the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the stunning view from our room, overlooking the beautiful Erhai Lake. Waking up to that view every morning was simply unforgettable. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dali.

Folks, you absolutely *must* visit Qianmeng! It was utterly fantastic and offers unbeatable value for money! Watching the sunrise right from your bed? If you know, you know! Not only was the stay incredibly comfortable, but every staff member we interacted with was also exceptionally kind and helpful! Upon arriving near the guesthouse, someone was there to greet us and help carry our luggage to the room. They also provide one complimentary airport or high-speed rail station transfer service (pick-up or drop-off). Afternoon tea and breakfast are also included. Mornings and evenings are perfect for cycling around Erhai Lake, as it's less sunny. Shared bicycles and e-bikes are conveniently available right near the guesthouse. And oh, Erhai Lake is absolutely breathtakingly blue! It was genuinely comfortable and an incredibly relaxing getaway that far exceeded all my expectations. Please check out my real photos!
