Avid Hotel Memphis - Southaven

I stayed at this hotel with my daughter last weekend 7/29. We were really tired when we arrived and went straight to bed. The next morning I realized some major issues and talked to the front office about it. I even sent videos and pictures to the Custodial manager that was on duty. She was very apologetic & so was the lady working the front desk. But when the manager, I think his name was Corey, came out…. HIS ATTITUDE WAS HORRIBLE. As a matter of fact, I didn’t know he was the manager earlier when I saw him walked in, but when I said “Good Morning” he just kept walking. So maybe he was having a bad day.. REGARDLESS, that’s not my fault. He offered to give me some points, but for the issue I had, that just didn’t suffice at all!! He made no efforts to do anything else even after I expressed the fact that I wasn’t pleased. And I said it in a nice way, but I received Nothing but a BAD ATTITUDE in return!! I’m not sharing the video on here, only because the Breakfast Lady was outstanding.. and the front desk worker was a sweetheart….. But that manager was the WORST 👎🏾

No fluff motel. I want a clean room, a good shower, and a soft bed. Great staff also. I feel that I got all the above. AVID hotels are very modern, not the usual decor you find in most hotels but I liked it. The room also had a 60" TV, are you kidding me! I was traveling with my elderly mother and they changed the room to an ADA-compliant room when I checked in. The only thing I would suggest was to upgrade the floor in the shower. Not enough grip. And it would be nice to have a bar grip on the wall in front of the toilet placed at a 45-degree angle and at arms, length. Old folks have a hard time standing up after sitting down. Other than the two suggestions, it was a great experience and I will use them again.

My family stay was amazing! Very easy check in process. Staff acknowledged you soon as you enter the building. Receptionist had an amazing attitude with a beautiful smile. The room is very clean and comfortable. A great environment to stay in and did I mention great parking.

Staff was great. Kory especially went above and beyond what he had to do to make our check in process smooth when we had an issue arise (on our end, not the hotel’s.)

I wasn’t checked in due to the unavailability of rooms!!! I called your customer service many times and couldn’t get any solution.

All the staff was really nice, hotel was clean, smelled fresh and clean, no issues with check in or late check out. Definitely impressed with a last minute find.

Only negative could say is the pillows are flat and the smoke detection box light flashes bright Everything else excellent

Facility looked modern and staff very friendly, while the rooms were clean I wouldn't describe it as spotless. In a safe but very busy area off a major road. Would stay again.

We had a handicapped accessible room for my mother in a wheelchair and it was perfect for our needs.
