Barceló Residences Dubai Marina

I had a very disappointing experience at Barcelo Residences Dubai Marina. Reason 1: Misleading room description I booked a deluxe one-bedroom apartment for 4 nights based on the promise of "luxurious environments with stunning views of the sea or Dubai Marina," as advertised. However, I was placed on the 3rd floor with no views whatsoever. I requested a change to a higher floor several times, even offering to pay extra, but my requests were completely disregarded by the staff. Reason 2: Pest control during the stay To make matters worse, the hotel initiated pest control treatment during my stay. While they informed me the day before, there was no prior notice about this plan at the time of booking. Had I known, I would have chosen another hotel, as I was traveling with a 3-year-old child and did not want to take unnecessary risks. Additionally, I encountered a cockroach in the room, which further aggravated the situation. Their assurance that my room would be excluded from treatment felt unconvincing, leaving me uncomfortable and concerned about my family’s safety. Reason 3: Unreasonable handling of early departure Given the circumstances, I decided to leave after 2 nights, but the hotel refused to refund me for the remaining nights, providing no valid justification for withholding my payment. This stay failed to meet expectations in every way, and I cannot recommend this property.

Bedroom and living room are good. Bathroom and kitchen is old, definitely need renovation. Place is in a good location but nothing is within a walking distance, I guess this is probably just Dubai but the public transport is a fair walk.  Overall I am happy with the stay

The residential hotel was in a good location at marina bay. The staff was very kind and upgraded our room. The room is spacious, bed was good. The only thing is that the room kinda smell bad when you first enter. Sofa was bit old.

Nice location. Few mins walk to the JBR. It is good for family travel.
