Hotel Panorama Kruje View on the Castle and the Old Town

A very pleasant modern hotel in the centre of Kruja, overlooking the market, castle and mosque with fine views of the valley below. Good size room, decent shower room, comfortable beds, good breakfast. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

We paid extra to have a suite ( room 501) and it more than justified the extra cost.... wonderful. Huge room, wrap around terrace and truly panoramic views of the castle, mountains and valley below. The bed was a super king-size and very comfortable, lots of storage and a comfortable sofa area. The views from the balcony are picture postcard. The balcony had lots of bird droppings on it and the windows could do with a clean. (Not what you would expect from a suite). Edi on reception was delightful, very friendly and took the trouble to offer us advice and guidance as required. He is a credit to the hotel. The rooftop terrace was excellent, being October very few people around even though it was lovely sunny weather. Good sized pool, with lots of sun loungers, tables and chairs. Once again.... those views. Breakfast was okay, not the best we experienced during on our two week travels in Albania. No fresh fruit apart from grapes and coffee came from a large urn. The restaurant is large to cater for tour groups with the balcony tables in high demand. Food in the restaurant, like the breakfast was okay. (There is not much choice to dine immediately outside the hotel). The bazaar is right on the doorstep and its a short walk to the castle. We arrived by bus from Tirana and it stops a short walk from the hotel which is convenient. Taxi back to Tirana airport is just over thirty minutes away and the hotel arranges the taxi. I can imagine it gets very busy during the summer months with tourist groups.....

The hotel has great commodities, the room was very spacious and with an amazing view! The staff were super nice! On the rooftop, there is a super cool pool and provides an amazing sunset above Kruje! Also, its one minute walking from the Bazaar! Definitely a great experience!

Five stars experience! We stayed at the hotel Panorama in September 2023. The hotel itself is a majestic ethnic-modern building with great views, located in the heart of the ancient town of Kruja. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff that did the impossible to accommodate us in a room in a fully booked hotel. We stayed on the second floor and the room itself was spacious, well lighted, clean, equipped with a big balcony with beautiful views of the castle. Inside there were three beds, two singles and one queen, enough for a family of four. The bed sheets were snow white clean and the pillows were comfortable. The room temperature was regulated with a thermostat, which stayed comfortably around 22* celcius. During night time you could feel a pleasant cool breeze coming from the room's air vents. Wifi was excellent. The bathroom had a modern atmosphere. The shower area was inside an enclosure to prevent water splashing around, the pressure was adequate, hot or cold water in a few seconds. There were the toilet and the bidet and the sink area was nearby with all the necessary amenities. Plenty of clean towels were stacked on a two level rack near the shower. Now the breakfast (free). This is another element where the hotel Panorama excels at. Too many choices available, boiled or scrambled eggs, different cakes, strudels, jams, yogurt, cheese, butter, hot milk, coffee, tea, juices, etc ... etc. All together, there could have been 25-30 food items for the breakfast only. As a side note - I was glad to notice that some good locations in the town were undergoing new construction, especially new hotels and restaurants, like in the old bazaar area, which has seen new additions of old style shops and a new restaurant/hotel. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Hotel is well situated but rooms are noisy and breakfast is really below average. Rooftop pool is very nice and the bazar is only 10 meters away. Does not cover the poor breakfast with unclean plates and poor quality food. Castle is only couple of minutes away.

We stayed here ten years ago and were glad to see that the hotel has expanded and seems to be thriving. Our room was immaculate, with a nice balcony with a stunning view overlooking the fortress and the valley below. the restaurant is even better than we remembered: portions were generous, service excellent and the place is lovely inside and out. We had breakfast and another meal there. Located right by the bazaar and the fortress, it’s the best location in town. They’ve added elevators a workout room and private parking since we were there last.

Hotel Panorama is a solid choice in Kruje. Great location, nice rooms and everything one could need either in the hotel or close by.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of our Albania tour. Basically it was full of tour groups, many of them very large. That would, I feel, explain its lack of service and rude staff. Yes, the view is amazing and the location excellent but the room was average with the hairdryer almost falling off the wall and there was very little spare space for luggage. The pool had been a great attraction for us but that was closed due to a wedding taking place, as was the rooftop bar. Breakfast was poor with tasteless coffee and hardly any fresh fruit (despite nearby markets selling an abundance of it). Music from wedding was played until 4am which resulted in a poor nights sleep for many and the receptionist put the phone down when one of our friends rang to say she was disturbed by the music. What a shame. It could be a fabulous hotel but service needs much improvement.

The hotel is fine and the views are lovely. I’m rating it 3 stars because it felt like it was trying to be a bit corporate and not at all green. The breakfast was ok but too many options, no fresh fruit, no honey just little plastic packages of honey and syrup. The shower leaked from underneath really badly but we were only there one night so they might fix that quickly. We stayed in some nice places in Albania and this was trying to be American which was a bit of a pity I think.
