Wild Goose Inn

The BEST B & B I've ever stayed in! Rooms are wonderful, breakfast wonderful, staff wonderful!! I would recommend this to everyone! If you are going to East Lansing, this is the place to stay! They also have convenient parking, close to many restaurants, and close to the college!

One of best B&Bs I have ever stayed at. Incredibly accommodating hosts starting even before arrival. Arrived late, and appreciated the frig with bottle water and bowl with fresh fruit. Great location - one block from Michigan Flyer from airport, short walk to Michigan State bookstore, many eating places. Two blocks and across street from MS campus and the Broad Art Museum. An old inn, but amenities were tops. Spa like facilities, very comfortable beds, separate seating areas, Gas stoves, most comfortable robes have ever had at any accommodation. Felt as if innkeepers designed each room with what they would want if they traveled. Breakfasts filling and healthy. Great freshly made muffins to start. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I have heard about this place for years but I do live in the area so I never could fathom a reason to spend money on a hotel in the place that I live- well this place is truly a peaceful little hideaway in East Lansing. My boyfriend and I booked the winter eden room for our little valentines getaway this year. Multiple times he mentioned how it feels like we are on vacation it was weird to think we were so close to home! Lovely place, Al was very kind and sweet and we met Yogi the house dog who was extremely well behaved. I personally love animals so he was kind of a bonus :) Full course breakfast was delicious. The Jacuzzi tub was relaxing and beautiful aesthetically. I would recommend this place to anyone coming from out of town or looking for a local getaway.

We have stayed at many B&B’s throughout Michigan- this is hands down the BEST! Adorable house conveniently located in downtown East Lansing, with easily accessible parking. Our room was upstairs, the Summer Safari. Spacious yet cozy with a queen size bed with a crazy comfortable mattress and linens. The jacuzzi tub was generous enough for both of us, and the gas fireplace added both warmth and ambiance. There is a cute 2 seater balcony and a well appointed bathroom with most of the necessities- bring your shampoo and conditioner. The one miss in this room is a little refrigerator and coffee pot- the closet would be perfect! Breakfast was warm and very tasty and served by our hosts. By far the best B&B breakfast to date. Well done, Wild Goose! You get it right!

I have stayed at several B&B’s. They all pale in comparison to the Wild Goose Inn. The place was homey, clean and the staff was so welcoming. I didn’t want to leave. My room was perfectly cleaned and the food was amazing. I was new to the area and Al brought out maps to show me around campus and tell me where I should go and things I should see. On the second morning, Al had noticed I only ate the watermelon and grapes from the fresh fruit cup the day before and filled my bowl with only those the next time. It was incredibly thoughtful. And Paul was so kind and makes an excellent breakfast. I can’t wait to go back and have already shared the experience with friends who are going to the same area. If you’re visiting East Lansing, you have to stay here!

We live in Okemos the town just outside of East Lansing and had never heard of this amazing place until a friend told us about it. It was truly a getaway and while there we forgot we were in a college town and we felt like we were hours away from home even though we were 15 minutes and it was so relaxing. I booked it as a surprise getaway for my husband and I while our daughter was staying with her grandparents. It was easy to book and very affordable compared to most hotel jacuzzi rooms and so much better. Plus just a short walk are so many restaurants it was easy to find a place for dinner. Breakfast was outstanding! The muffins were tasty and so large that both my husband and I were almost too full to eat our made to order breakfast. I got an omelette that was cooked to perfection the fruit salad was fresh the coffee was fresh and the hosts were so friendly. The host will likely ask if you are familiar with the area and give you tips of things to do close to the inn if you are staying around after breakfast including the local art galleries and have lots of knowledge about things to do in the area. We will definitely stay again if we get the chance and try out a different room just to see what the other rooms are like! For our first time we stayed in Indian summer.

This place is perfect. Perfect location, with perfect amenities. We stayed in the Summer Safari and it was amazing. The pictures do not do this place justice. The bathtub easily fits 2 people. The fireplace was very nice and cozy, and the loveseat couch facing it was great to enjoy a glass of wine. If I could give this place a 10/5 I would!

Partner and I had a wonderful night at the Wild Goose Inn. Super relaxing and the jetted tub was amazing. Very walkable to a lot of great Lansing places to eat and sight see. Even though my partner lives in Lansing this was a real treat for one night. Would happily stay here again and recommend to other people! Also, was nice to stay in a bed and breakfast as opposed to a hotel with COVID numbers still being high. I felt much more comfortable knowing that there were only a limited number of rooms and guests.

Anytime I'm in a 100 mile radius of the Wild Goose, I jump at the opportunity to stay there. I think I've probably been a guest about 5 or 6 times now over the years, and each and every time I leave refreshed and relaxed thanks to the amazing management and owner who consistently provide five star accommodations in this charming and quaint oasis. You will not find a better location for access to all the attractions that East Lansing and Lansing offers, and will not find a more hospitable host anywhere. It is truly a gem and I look forward to going back, again and again.
