Sierra Nevada

This is my second time staying here. The hotel is very clean and the staff is super helpful and welcoming. They were great with helping us plan our excursions. We ordered packed lunches from the restaurant and they were ready for us to take on our early morning excursions, which was great. We enjoyed a delicious milanesa sandwich on the glacier! We also kicked off every day with a great free breakfast downstairs. It's on the main road and only a few blocks away from all the main shops and restaurants. The area is very walkable. I would definitely recommend to someone!

Great location, beautiful surroundings…safe, pedestrian neighbourhood, close to shops & restaurants… Small single beds (not even twin)…clean room & bathroom…rough towels… Measly breakfast…canned fruit salad, no eggs, just bread, ham & cheese… Adequate accommodations…

Stayed here for 2 nights. While the rooms are clean and staff are pleasant the stay itself was not good. The walls are paper thin so I was woken up both mornings very early by hotel guests and staff, walking around and talking outside. The breakfast was very basic and not very enjoyable. I had breakfast in a cafe down the street on my 2nd morning. Also, I left headphones in the room and didn’t realise until I got to the airport. We had left our bags in the hotel that morning when checking out and came back later that afternoon to collect our bags. Nobody in the hotel mentioned the headphones and I had to ring and get a taxi to bring them to the airport. Wouldn’t recommend

This was a nice, simple hotel. The rooms and bathroom were spacious. If you have mobility issues, I don’t know how you can stay here because there were a lot of steps, even to just get into the front doors. We were on the first floor and there were still a lot of steps. Plus, the hallways were very long. The hotel just had a strange layout. The included breakfast was also simple. It had basic items and a small selection. The front desk was very friendly. They helped book dinner reservations, call taxis, and communicated information regarding our tours. The location was great. It was right on the main street, so most shopping and restaurants were within walking distance. The hotel was subset in a way that it wasn’t directly on the street, so you did not hear the traffic. We did have issues with the heat in the room. The bathroom was comfortable, but the bedroom was very cold. Someone from the front desk came to look at the radiator but couldn’t figure it out. Instead, he gave us an extra blanket. I would try other hotels before coming back.

We stayed at this hotel as a part of a tour, and had a great experience. The rooms are simple but clean, and overlook the lake with a sliding door leading to a small balcony. The restaurant was very nice and had a great free breakfast every morning. They also provided packed lunches if you were on a tour for 2100 Argentinian pesos ($7 Canadian) the front desk knew what tours you were going on as well as pickup times for busses, etc. There are excellent restaurants nearby and in the town centre about a 10 minute walk away. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting El Calafte.

Nice place, a very good architecture with a beautiful garden, the rooms are quiet at night, a pastry shop and a small market are located across the street. Friendly staff, good argentine standard breakfast, and Wifi available. No fridge

A basic hotel , centrally located, breakfast very basic, but convenient and staff pleasant, stop over place, very warm bit can turn radiators down, clean and no issues kept out bags over night which was helpful, limited breakfast but good enough
