Casa Solcor Boutique Bed & Breakfast

A magnificent haven of peace and calm, close to the center of San Pedro. The decoration is beautiful and in line with the style of the region. Beautiful room, quiet and clean. Excellent breakfast. The staff is kind and available. The hospitality director is very friendly and does everything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A big thank you for this fabulous stay.

I can only recommend this place. We travelled with a 9 month old baby, which is not the easiest task in a place like San Pedro, but everybody in Casa Solcor was extremely accommodating and kind to help us make our stay as comfortable as possible. The place is beautifully decorated, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is really nice. All what you need really. Yes, it’s a bit outside the Main Street (caracoles) but that was actually perfect for us, since it can get quite noisy and busy in the center of the town. The distance was not a problem for us. I just want to thank everybody in the staff of Casa Solcor for making us feel so welcome and for giving one of the best service we have experienced. We will definitely be back in the future!

We love staying at this place. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. They also had fresh pastries and baguettes every morning for breakfast for us which were delicious. The rooms were clean and spacious. During Valentine’s Day, the staff prepare a special package for us which included champagne, chocolates, and fresh fruit. They really go the extra mile to make us feel special.

Our family of 4 adults stayed here for 5 days. All the staff were really helpful, the location is quiet, the garden space is lovely and having shared kitchens was great. We enjoyed using the mountain bikes and the BBQ and the company of our fellow guests in a shared home frkm home

Pros - Exceptional service, feels like home. Jeanette at the front desk bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable. Great breakfast (Francisco brings in fresh baguettes and makes eggs), there are always snacks available and the hotel will open a bottle of wine for you if you want and there is beer. Cons - there really is only one, it is a little far from the center of town. Takes about 15 mins

Great discovery. It is a boutique Hotel under relatively new management. It has good location, comfortable rooms and a great and knowledgeable staff eager to give a whole and personalized experience to their passengers. The whole concept of the place, where you are welcomed to use it as your own home, is perfect to enjoy San Pedro and its whereabouts.

We spent almost a week at Hotel Casa Solcor while visiting the Atacama desert in May 2023. We chose the hotel from the Tripadvisor website. The hotel was located away from the business area of San Pedro de Atacama but was an easy 1 Km walk to the main street where all the restaurants and shop are found. The hosts were most helpful in providing information, maps and referrals about the town and surrounding area. Those discussions helped us make choices among the very many options of tours and excursions. The hotel’s casitas have a central living room and kitchen with several small but adequate bedrooms, each with a private bath. Wi-fi worked well enough for me to host a business Zoom call while there. The morning breakfasts were plentiful with multiple choices. Breakfasts to go were prepared for us on the mornings we had early pickup for tours. Secure parking for our rental car was had within the hotel walls. I highly recommend this as a wonderful base for exploration of the Atacama desert, one of the most unusual and interesting places we have visited. If you rent a car to drive to San Pedro, I recommend mapping directions to the hotel before you get there while you have good wi-fi or cell connectivity. There was no cell coverage between the Calama airport and San Pedro, and connectivity was very poor upon arrival at San Pedro. The streets are mostly unpaved, and street signs are not always present.

Wonderful stay in a smallish boutique hotel a few blocks out of Atacama center. Everyone was so helpful and worked hard to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Great breakfast and plenty of space to hang around outside. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely decoration, super clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Has enough amenities to cook and BBQ. Rooms are practical, some can be a bit tight for 4. Good breakfast, can prepare a box for early starts. 15mn stroll form the Main Street. They can lend you bikes.
