Faro Del Porto

The area was beautiful, the host was welcoming, the cleaning was daily. Food in the area was superb and plentyful. Boat hire is local. The driving in the local area was flatter than other parts of the island. There is nothing not to like!

Really enjoyed my stay at Faro Del Porto. The host was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Rooms are cleaned every day. The views over the harbour are beautiful. Very quiet resort with just a few restaurants but all are very good. However, you need a car if you stay here after 10th September as the buses no longer run. Will definitely stay here again.

Arrived met by the owner, taken to our room 12. Seen on a previous post that it was a guests birthday the owner arranged for a bottle of champagne and flowers to surprise the recipient, I arranged this, a €11 bottle of Asti and some half dead flowers was provided for €30, rip off! I complained but was told the cost was for the champagne!! Don’t ask for it , it will save you money! Very basic accommodation, mattress not at all comfortable, the pillows was disgusting dirty. Decor ok, no toaster, microwave, broken kettle (which was replaced) only one dish( I went into the cleaners store room and there was odd bits of crockery which I took, cleanliness was very good. No sink plug so no way to fill the sink to wash dishes, asked for one but never got it. Bathroom very small but clean. Patio sliding door catch broken, main door won’t stay closed without locking it and constantly rattled. Very noisy accommodation, it did state on that there was sound proofing but that’s not true, I kept the air con overnight to drown out moving furniture and door’s banging. “Try add a small bistro table and chairs in the kitchen area, wall cupboard, better assorted plates and utensils required” It states the apar**ents are 3* but they are a million miles from being so. Not available to keep our room for a later check out, was told there was new people going in as we left, but 6 hours later the room was still vacant, no show from owner as we left at 5pm, really poor. I would not return, there are much better apar**ents around the same area.

Good location when you arrive with the ferry. Poros is a nice village. It is pretty, has good restaurants, a beach and not so many tourists. The view from the spacious balconies are amazing both day and night. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. The rooms could need some update but they were clean and everything worked well.

Excellent, value-for-money, friendly apar**ents. Helpful rtesidential owner. Ask for an apar**ent on the east side and then in the evening you have shade to sit on the balcony to write your reviews. Or whatever. 10 minutes gentle walk to harbour for tourist boat trips and the 1.5 hour ferry to the mainland. Late opening supermarket by the port and a pleasant though unexciting taverna, too. Two excellent places to eat slightly further up the hill -- Sunset and Agripodos.The old port/town is maybe 20 mins walkwith clean beaches and lots of cafes. Virtually no buses, but local taxi to the airport is €60.

Good place to stay for a few days. Manager was on site and happy to help. Absolutely fabulous view of the port in the evening. We had a paranamic view of poros. Overall enjoyed our stay. Apar**ent was clean and basic. Just as described. Beds comfortable. Sometimes no hot water in shower but within a short amount of time hot water would be readily available again.

We arrived late on the Thursday evening and we were greeted straight away outside which was a really lovely touch. Everything was very straightforward and the room was cleaned atleast 5 times and we only stayed a week! Everything was absolutely spotless! They couldn’t do enough for us and even called us a taxi on the way home and allowed us to store our luggage. It is a quick 5 minute walk from the main square and every room has a balcony to enjoy the beautiful views. I would absolutely stay here again! Such a beautiful and wonderful town and place!

We stayed here in a room with a sea view on the top floor. It was such a wonderful view. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable with all you need for a self catering apar**ent. There is a supermarket in walking distance aswell as 2 or 3 tavernas for meals. We hired a car from the airport and used this as our base. It was ideal. The owner Antonis was so helpful & friendly. He was always available if you needed him and gave us some great info about beaches to visit. The accommodation is at the top of a steep hill but the view makes up for it as you can sit on your balcony and watch the boats come and go. We Loved our holiday and stay at Faro del Porto. Amazing.
