What a place - stunning. The region is beautiful and this hotel sits perfectly in the middle of it, beautifully appointed interiors, surrounded by its on winery and coached along by a great team. Roberta in guest relations and Luca on the desk made all the difference and getting us into the area, hiring bikes and giving us the local knowledge - thank you. The team in the restaurant headed up by Nickola and the sommelier (sorry cant recall his name - great guy) showed us round the wine list and spotted some great treats. Thoroughly recommended. Not cheap but worth it.

A magical place nestling in the vineyards... incredible charm, wonderful colours. Reception very average, it was raining and the person in charge of reception didn't see fit to come with an umbrella to protect us from the rain even though he had it in hand. Very pleasant and smiling receptionist, nothing to say. The experience at the hotel bar was a real pleasure, we were extremely well received, the bar manager is a real character. The rooms have been partially refurbished, in good taste, but it's a shame that the bathrooms haven't had the same treatment. Our experience in the restaurant was very average, despite the obvious quality, one of the dishes we tasted was very average and overcooked, despite complaints on our part about this, the only response from the maître d' was to tell us that the chef liked it that way. Very average breakfast with the bare minimum. Very average check-out with a receptionist who hasn't had a smile in a very long time. To sum up, this is a very beautiful house, with good facilities, but no soul or personality. To run the place, you get the impression you're dealing with an ocean liner without a captain. we won't be coming back.

The resort is on a beautiful piece of property in the hills overlooking Isso in the Franciacorta region. The website does not do it justice. The resort is connected to the Bellavista winery. The resort is primarily an older estate which has been transformed. The rooms are large and very comfortable, with nice views on the property. The spa and pool are excellent, and they plan to update it in January 2024. There is also a medical spa (which we did not use). The restaurant is excellent, with a terrace overlooking Iseo. Roberta, the guest relationship manager, is a treasure. Well worth return visits, which it appears was the case for a large number of the guests.

This Relais nestled in the vineyards of the Bellavista Winery in Erbusco Italy, is a hidden gem. The grounds are lush and breathtaking with award winning sculptures scattered throughout. The building itself is an old Palazzo with less then 40 rooms and suites which are all different in size and style but all of them have old world charm and luxury. Our room was spacious with an incredibly comfortable bed, a sitting room, 2 bathrooms and a small terrace overlooking the vineyards. Their spa, Espace Chenot is a medical spa and is world renowned. My wife and I had 2 amazing facials and I got one of the best haircuts of my life. Especially odd because my hairdresser couldn't speak a lick of English but with my poor Italian and a few hand gestures, it turned out great. They have two restaurants and both are awesome. Vista Lago, highly rated by Michelin, is fantastic and is run expertly by Giorgio the Maitre d'. The other is La Filialle an award winning gourmet pizza restaurant. I can't forget their bar and the *****nis we had after dinner mixed up by our bartender of the year Alessandro. The best aspect of our stay at L'Albereta was the service we received from everyone and especially the guest relations manager, Roberta Pogliani. Her attention to detail and the excursions she set up for us were truly memorable. Especially the wine tasting at Bellavista and the boat ride with Massimo on Lake Iseo. Thank you to all and we hope to see you again in the near future.

We booked with breakfast included, to our surprise they charged extra for scrambled eggs, mediocre. We stayed in other 5-star hotels in Italy and didn't have this inconvenience The hotel is expensive, the amenities are reasonable.

There was a big anticipation leading to our recent trip to L’Albereta. Mainly because we have enjoyed several stays at their sister property, L’Andana, which is located in Tuscany. Unfortunately, I would say they are more like distant relatives then sister properties and the stay fell far from living up to our expectations… The positives: Spa – the spa is beautiful and really well organized. The staff is friendly and helpful and there is an extensive spa menu that reads like a wine list at a three starred Michelin restaurant. If you are nearby, and even not a guest, you should book some treatments and you will not be disappointed. Pizza – The on-site pizza restaurant (La Filiale) is quite good. Definitely among some of the better pizza’s I have had in Italy and is deserving of a visit. It’s a bit expensive compared to most in Italy (around 18/20 euro average for a personal pizza). Property grounds – the property is beautiful and the grounds are kept immaculate. Very picturesque and an Instagrammers dream Dog friendly – the property allows dogs to stay for the additional fee of 30 euro per night The negatives: Breakfast – breakfast was ‘included’ for the cost of our room since we booked with Amex’s FHR program. However the breakfast was quite poor given this is a 5 star hotel. It consisted of some fresh berries and melon, yogurt, cakes and a bread basket. It was suitable for two days, but really quite lackluster. What made it worse was looking at the a la carte menu for breakfast – 12 euro to add an omelette is absurd. A/C – we were first assigned room 28. Smallish, basic room with a strange layout (there was a small sitting space right in front of the door that was not very useful at all. What I immediately noticed was the room was quite warm. With summer temperatures above 30 degrees C/90+ degrees F, I need a functioning A/C. We let the A/C run all day and it was not doing the job. Before dinner I asked the front desk to take a look and see if they could improve the situation. Upon returning from dinner it was still unbearably hot and I asked the front desk if they could switch our room. The A/C issue did not seem to be a surprise from them, and from reading other reviews, is a reoccurring issue. Our next room (40) was much better and the A/C was functioning. Coffee machine – this may be the first ‘5 star’ hotel I have visited without a coffee machine in-room. When you are charging $500+ per night, a Nespresso machine could do nicely. At breakfast, coffee was included but at other parts of the day we paid 8 euro for an iced coffee in their casual café. Staff – I found the staff to be very mixed. The front desk was nice and welcoming but some staff I felt to be quite cold. For example, the host/manager at LeoneFelice I found to be rude and condescending. LeoneFelice – We arrived at the hotel at 2:00pm. The front desk suggested us to have lunch at LeoneFelice and let us know they closed at 2:30. Before unpacking our car we went straig
