The Child family would just like to thank all the staff at The Roundabout Hotel for their fantastic hospitality for what was for us a very difficult time. Excellent food fantastic staff nothing was too much trouble home from home

Took mum there for 85th birthday meal. Nice ambience. Great serving staff. Meal was ok. Hellim burger and pork belly. The hellim was not really cooked enough but enjoyable. Spring rolls great and bread and butter pudding was good the afternoon tea looked great.£12.50 sandwiches , scones cakes and tea etc. Worth a visit. Reasonably priced

Fantastic hotel, great price per night, the room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was made to order included in the price and well presented, there is also a good choice of evening meals and specials, the staff couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome and the local people were really friendly, theres the added bonus of a log fire which was lovely to sit and relax round in the evenings while chatting to the locals. Would recommend this hotel, also only 5 mins walk from Fareham town centre and the local bars and restaurants. Thanks again everyone for a lovely 2 night stay, best wishes Paul and Adele

We had a voucher for Christmas for afternoon tea, the experience was OK but not as elegant as we’ve had at previous afternoon tea, now I maybe snobbish but I expect proper sugar not sachets, we found the dining room a bit cold and had to keep our coats on. The tea itself wasn’t bad but basic, we had the Prosecco tea booked but at no stage was we offered Prosecco, the service was OK and efficient, I found the cutlery poor and had to clean before use the table cloth had a couple of stains, the sandwiches, scones and cakes were nice and they did box up the cakes that were left for us. Overall if I was paying for this I would be disappointed.

We booked the hotel for the night as we were travelling through with the dogs from home 200 miles away. We pulled up mid afternoon and there was some sort of ‘deal’ going on outside between two teenagers which put us off to start with, the outside of the hotel is shabby and needs some work and the car park was just accessible but dark and dingy. There wasn’t anywhere to let the dogs have a wee later on or take them. We were dubious but agreed to go in. We walked in and reception had grills over it, it smelt and was cold. There was a gentleman there who had also wandered in and appeared drunk and dishevelled, we stuck our heads in the restaurant and decided it wasn’t one for us. We weren’t prepared to stay there with the dogs in the condition it was in. We felt so strongly we drove the 200 miles back home rather than stay. I appreciate this hotel has received mixed reviews now I have read through and some may feel this is acceptable, we didn’t so it’s purely personal choice.

Easily booked over the phone, easy to find with adequate parking. Very reasonably priced which included breakfast. Room was a little basic but warm and clean. Hairdryer available, very basic clothes storage but we didn't need much anyway. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and were fantastic with us and our dog. Can't praise the food highly enough; delicious, plentiful and inexpensive, we didn't need to go anywhere else. Pie night was fabulous and we loved the afternoon tea. Bar area was homely with a lovely real fire and friendly clientele. We will definitely stay here again, such value for money.

We went for a meal for our grandson’s birthday. The food and service was excellent. The people working are very pleasant and cannot do enough for you. not a great range of real ale and not much atmosphere but it is a restaurant in a hotel.

The best thing about this hotel was walking out! Checked in and then checkout, it was disgusting could bring myself to stay there. Room was unclean, extremely dated, rabbit warren of corridors. Staff were okay but other clientele were rather rough. The whole hotel needs updating, cleaning and when you park around the back, the kitchen area is not acceptable.

This hotel is amazing the staff are professional friendly and very helpful. It is great value for money and the food was really great. The room we had was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
