Hotel Ungherese Small Luxury Hotel

The most luxurious and spacious hotel in the whole of our Italy trip. There were buses around the hotel that takes you to the centre of Florence. Daily cleaning was provided too which we appreciated! The surrounding area was quiet and peaceful. The furnishings are luxurious, we especially enjoyed using the projector and there was even a washing machine even though we did not use it. Do note that this hotel room is a 3-4min walk from the main hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here and will recommend this hotel :)

A very comfortable hotel. The rooms are very stylish and there is tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. The room has air conditioning as well as large windows that can be opened. The breakfast was lovely especially the honeycomb. There were yogurts. Fruit pastries and eggs/ toast and beans(Florence style). A little out of the main city centre but on a bus route(10 mins) or a 20 min walk.

Thank you for a wonderful experience, we’ve been travelling Italy and our itinerary is extremely tight therefore we didn’t end up getting to the hotel until 4am after telling them 1am. As a small hotel we didn’t expect them to be at the check in but they sorted us out with a security code, sealed envelope and instructions. We stayed in the condo and it had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Clean and helpful, kind and friendly staff. The terrace is beautiful and made a lovely location for breakfast. The fact it is 2 stars really surprises me, the decor is fabulous! Only down point was a mother and son in the apartment opposite being loud in the morning. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had high expectations for this small hotel. It was alright, and the room was nice and clean, everything you expect from a hotel with these prices. Something we really wish we where informed about was the loud music from the bar EVERY NIGHT from 18.00-00.00. So if you’re room is facing the bar, bring earplugs. The hotel also provided us with a list of restaurants the recommended. We tried two of them, with disappointing results. One of them, treated us so badly. It was clear they didn’t like tourists. We left feeling like they really didn’t like us. The other place was closed on mondays (which should be informed) The second last night we got a voucher for one free cocktail in the bar (because it really didn’t seem like anyone was visiting the bar… which is why I don’t understand why the music played so long every night) we didn’t use it and I’m glad, since we overheard a couple complaining that the where only allowed a drink and not a cocktail which the voucher did indeed say. The manager really didn’t seem to care much about their complaint and suggestion to change the cocktail voucher to drink, but still ended up giving them their money back (not with a smile and service if you ask me) They also inform you that there’s free parking with the hotel, but that’s only if there’s a spot available. Otherwise you’ll be doomed to roam around the side streets until you find a spot.. So all in all, it’s a nice place, but I’m not sure it’s worth your money. I would pay less for a more service-minded hotel - closer to the city center.

I wasn't expecting anything special, but I quickly came to love this hotel. This is a 2-star hotel, but it was superior to many 4-star places I've been to (I know it does not meet all requirements of a 4-star hotel). It's not in the downtown area (thankfully, I later realized), and the reception is only manned for part of the day. Our room faced the street and was spacious with a very good bed. At the back of the hotel, there's a great veranda with lots of seating. Even though we arrived in October, it was (uncommonly) warm, and I would sit there and read. The breakfast was excellent, and there are some good restaurants nearby (the hotel gives you a list of good places. A nearby place not on the list, Le Lune ristorante nel vivaio, is very much worth a visit). We walked downtown every day of our stay. It's about half an hour. We would return to our quiet neighborhood at night and love how quiet it is. Best of all, a big teddy bear watches the reception at night, making you feel very safe.

Unfortunately, we were cheated as well. We received confirmation from the hotel, but when we arrived late evening we heard our room was already booked. Please be aware of manipulation! Rhe shock we experienced was so great, that we wouldn't recommend
