Across the road from the hotel is the Palace of Fontainebleau, and there are places to eat and shop outside the hotel. Very convenient. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very warm and friendly.

酒店是選的很舒服,建於1799年的老酒店,前身也是很有故事老房子,清晨陽光的早餐,陌生人的互問早安和閑聊,很舒服!

Stayed here for a school reunion and while the hotel was ok, it wasn’t up to the standard that I remember. Gone is the piano lounge and the room we stayed in had a view of a less than attractive inner courtyard. The hotel’s in a fantastic position close to the carousel and chateau but pretty poor value considering the price. I think we’ll stay elsewhere for the next reunion.

The hotel is right downtown on the edge of the pedestrian zone and close to the castle. This also means you have to park in the street or in the public underground garage across the street and you hit quite some traffic going out early. The room was generous and clean, the bed was comfortable. The window did not isolate well, and the room was uncomfortably cold on arrival and turning the heat up to 21° meant a noisy fan blowing. The bathroom had only a narrow towel rack and a single large knob near the shower that was too large to thread through the loop in the towel. So for all that reuse your towels, two towels simply glid to the floor from that large, slippery know. There was also not a single electrical outlet, and very few in the room which were all in use and near the floor. Combine that with the short and stiff cable of the hair dryer, and I ended up blow drying in a dark corner with no mirror and nearly kneeling. Breakfast was nice if a little pricey. Breakfast staff were very friendly. I would have wished for a little variety, the selection was exactly the same all three mornings, with the same undercooked scrambled eggs, disappointingly standard bland cheese and lack of black tea other than Darjeeling. The biggest caveat for a hotel that caters to business travel though was the cancellation deadline of 5 days prior to arrival. A shorter deadline wasn't available even at a higher rate, and several of our party got caught by that. I would not use it again.

We have spent a very pleasant, revitalizing and charming weekend at the Aigle Noir hotel, with my partner. The hotel has been renovated so far for the common areas and the rooms for all categories except the first level / classic category. The renovated bedrooms are unique and genuinely in the style of the history of this unique hotel. The buffet breakfast room, soon to become also the restaurant (to be opened soon) is magnificent, with a very friendly and super efficient breakfast team. Globally, the staff is super friendly, always available to serve and meet your wishes or interests. You can always frankly talk to the staff, and they will do the best to satisfy any need or, if any, any issue, which is great. It is an amazing historical landmark hotel, so you should not miss it. We will be back soon for sure ! We had a couple ofissues, already and clearly discussed with the General Manager of the hotel, as regards some specific request and all issues were sorted out, in a very satisfactory manner by the very useful and friendly staff. I would like to sincerely thank the young lady in charge of the buffet breakfast team, super friendly, smiling, efficient and she would remember you and your room number etc. Amazingly efficient, along with her colleagues. We were lucky enough to enjoy personalised attentions in line with my ALL accor status, and very well surprised and welcome. However we believe towel holders should be added in the nice bathroom, in order to facilitate the drying of towels and to avoid replacing them. Indeed, when the towels can not dry, we need to ask their replacement and changing for dry ones. We also enjoyed a coupe of champagne at the Bar Montijo, in a very nice decor, very welll renovated with a super nice design, and a very friendly barman.

While the location is good and staff is very nice, this is not a 4 star hotel, in my opinion. a) Our room was far more worn than the photos of the rooms I had seen on the internet. The room needs refurbishing, particularly the carpet. b) Additionally, I was disappointed to find there was not an outlet in the bathroom for the hairdryer. So I had to dry my hair in the bedroom and to make matters worse there was not a mirror anywhere in the bedroom. c) The was no AirConditioning in the hotel yet the hotel advertises on its website that the hotel has Air conditioning. The high temperature for our stay was 77 degrees Fahrenheit. I called the front desk to request help with the air conditioning and was told it was shut off for October. In my opinion, the hotel should not advertise that it has air conditioning. d) WhenI took my shower I was disappointed to find that the shower gel bottle that is locked to the shower wall - was out of shower gel. Housekeeping should check to replenish shower bath gel. On a positive note, the hotel is conveniently located to the chateau and bus lines and the bed is comfortable. However the weaknesses far outweigh the positives of the hotel thus I would not recommend the hotel.

The perfect hotel when you visit Fontainebleau. Very helpful staff, delicious breakfast and amazing location across from the Fontainebleau Palace. Excellent value and worth its four stars. Comfortable beds and cozy rooms. Lovely bar off the lobby.

Such a truly comfortable bed. Peaceful and quiet room, despite being alongside a busy road and a group of cafes. The garden of Diana is across the road and the wonderful and historic Palace is within a short walk.

This is a nice property that has not been kept up. It is listed as a four-star. But the quality of the rooms isn’t quite there. Great location.
