Hotel Villa Bernardina

I have taken several trips to Europe, however - this hotel made this particular trip to Ischia, Italy my number one trip! The family that runs this hotel is amazing! Maria, makes all the travel arraignments to and from the island, as well as anywhere you want to go. She is a wiz at last minute changes, setting up travel to all the sites of Ischia, as well as the surrounding islands and is such a sweet and wonderful person, you feel a part of the family! The food served is by far the best I've had. It is all home cooked by Mom - Bernadetta - and will make you mouth water, just hearing about what you can have served. Breakfast is fabulous - all fresh fruits, eggs, meats and cheeses, and the breads and pastries are to die for. So fresh and flaky! And dessert - oh my - magnificent!!! So much of what they serve is from their own garden. The Father - Rafael - tends the garden himself and brings fresh vegetables for each meal. We enjoyed the food so much, we ate at the hotel instead of anywhere else on the Island every day. The hotel itself is beautiful and so clean. It is quiet and each room has a personal balcony space. It also has an A/C unit in each room should you need it - definitely a plus! The beds are super comfortable and the sheet are crisp and clean. The mineral pool is wonderful and makes your skin so soft to the touch. You can spend days just enjoying that! If you are traveling to Ischia, Italy - this hotel in my opion - is the only place to stay. Not only is it beautiful and well cared for, you get the family experience, and are catered to for every need. It is also very economical. The prices are very reasonable and will not cut into your vacation budget. You pay for everything at the end - travel arrangements, hotel rooms and food - and you will be pleasantly surprised at the price. Very fair and well worth every penny!! This will be my place to stay for all my trips to Ischia, Italy. 10 stars and 5 hearts!!!!!!
