Just a SHAME!!!! It’s definitively not a 4 stars but a VERY OLD and bad managed 3 stars (have a look on the picture attached). Dirty, old, not maintained, food with low quality and moreover not attention to the customers. The restaurant it’s a smelling company canteen; the chairs in the pools are very dirty (color go to brown from an original cream…); room with rust everywhere; deteriorate floor with holes and detached; towels not changed for 3 days despite with put twice on the floor ; unclean crockery; etc.. Inexistent customer care with rude staff. At the end it’s just a waste of money. Unbelievable expensive for such poor quality.

Typical resort hotel, very well managed with excellent staff. Hotel has a main building up the hill, and a smaller building next to the beach. You need to descend by outdoor stairs to get to the second building, the swimming pool and the beach. I had a good sized room with sea view on the 5th floor of the first building, with nice terrace, and in good condition. Very good food in the main restaurant with large lounge terrace overlooking the sea. Small beach side restaurant. The tennis courts are in desperate need of better tennis balls…

I have visited here a number of times now and continue to be impressed by the quality of the facilities and maintenance. Food is varied and good. The pool areas are attractive and there is a beach in front , although I prefer the Es Arenals beach which is a short walk away. It’s helpful to have a hire car to visit all the wonderful beaches on the island.

A glorious location just 2hrs 20min from Leeds Bradford. Travel to Ibiza initially, taxi 19Eu then to port just a short drive, fast ferry to Formentera ( very Expensive ), taxi to hotel 20Eu Hotel was simply amazing, friendly staff and accommodation was more than we expected, got told we had no sea view, but we did a huge panoramic view of the glorious ocean. All the restaurants including the hotel on the beach restaurant were expensive but the good side was it was all very nice food, had no complaints at all, so I guess you get what you pay for. Breakfast and evening meals had so much choice and it was not repetitive so you were always excited to going up for your meals. The main restaurant was in my opinion in the wrong place, to access it you had a long and steep climb up steps or steep incline to the side of the hotel, so if you are in the accommodation at the top near the reception its a steep climb back to your accommodation from the beach and vice versa if your accommodation is at the bottom its a steep climb to the restaurant. The beach does not belong to the hotel so you have to pay for the deck chairs and umbrellas ( would have been nice to know this before we booked a two week stay is expensive enough without having to then pay for comfort on the beach, plenty of chairs and umbrellas around the pool if you can beat the Germans making a dash for them very early in the Mornings, having to actually be apart of the rush was embarrassing to say the least , but if you don't, don't expect to find too many empty ones. Beach is extremely sandy super crystal clear and was warm you could have been in the Caribbean. We were there for two weeks and found two English couples, mostly the hotel was populated by Germans, who basically thought they had the right to break all the rules, push in and be quite abrupt with each other, the amount of arguments between them in the restaurants was indeed entertaining they simply did not care who was watching and where they where, they also filled water containers up from the water dispensers in the restaurants with CLEAR signs saying not too, and during breakfast most stuffed food into bags and plastic containers and not just the odd bun but pick nick proportions for when they were on the beach, probably due to the high cost of the beach restaurants, it was a shame to see such behavior. All that a side would we go back... most defiantly, we just need to take more spending money next time.

Nice hotel beach, clear water, bungalow room was spacious but no view. Many people around the pool, full sunbeds. Helpful and friendly staff, great food. We easily hired a car for two days to explore the island.

We enjoyed the sandy beach with crystal clear water, our 4-years old child enjoyed kids club with amazing Sylvia, we enjoyed aqua fitness with Peter (I think), the staff were very helpful and friendly although I would prefer if more of them speak English and not only Spanish (Catalan). We used main restaurant providing buffet service, the meals and their variety was good. We used also beach restaurant for lunches and we were satisfied, the quality of meals was goods and prices reasonable to the location. Our room was a little bit outdated and would need some refurbishment or repair – the sliding doors to the balcony cannot be easily opened, some furniture is old and needs to be replaced, but mainly beds and pillows were not comfortable. Overall, despite of some disadvantages we would certainly return back to the hotel in the future.

We’ve been to the hotel about 5 times… it’s located on what I perceive to be the best part of the island … this might however be our last visit… The location is second to none The food in the hotel in excellent every night… we were half board so bfast & dinner … plenty of great selection for lunch if you want it… we preferred to explore The staff are courteous & professional & always smiling despite working in 40C heat this summer … The facilities are pretty Comprehensive… & the entertainment puts the effort in … whether this type of thing ‘floats your boat’ The SINGLE DRAWBACK from the hotel is their inability to manage sunbed availability… if you get to the pool after 8’30 am all beds are reserved with a towel, flipflop or whatever the person reserving the bed doesn’t mind losing… so no sun beds… families then arrive with kids but have nowhere to sit… whilst the less community minded individuals reserving the beds often arrived at the pool after lunch (one group of 4 girls arrived at 3pm after their day out shopping to claim their beds) … so half the beds are empty for half the day… and half the guests are missing somewhere to sit when they need a bed that is reserved with a towel… There are signs asking guests not to reserve beds… staff seem wary to do anything about it for fear of upsetting guests. I raised this with a couple… response was … ‘not me… I’m on beach duty’, ‘not me, I’m a lifeguard’ … ‘we’ve tried but to no avail’ … this will lose the hotel repeat visitors … myself included… a customer that’s visited on & off over the last 15 years… & seen my kid grow up here. How to solve it is easy… take a leaf out of the GF Hotels Gran Costa Adeje resort in the Canary Islands we visited last year… in reception when customers check in they’re advised that reserving sun beds before 10am is not permitted & any unattended belongings will be securely removed & placed Into a locker. There are signs in the pool area to remind guests of this and Most importantly … it’s re enforced…as a result every respected it & everyone always had a sunbed… end result… a happy hassle free holiday for all… Ritu La Mola… please act on this… it’s letting the rest of your great hotel down… we did enjoy our recent stay.

We all chilled at the Riu La Mola: activities for all, excellent and varied buffet and attentive service. The dramatic architecture facing the sea, with an endless ocean view from every part of the resort is definitely worth the stay.
