Lovely little room, no need to interact with staff as key is left in a lockbox outside for you to access with a code. Perfect location in centre of fort Augustus with plenty of car parking. Room was very hot so appreciated the roof window, luckily no midgies!

The accommodation is a loft on the top floor, newly renovated, I like it very much. Although it is small, it does not affect the accommodation at all. The small drawback is that luggage needs to be climbed up stairs, but fortunately it is not very high 😂.

The lochness gatehouse was fine for a stop over on our way to Isle of Skye. The check in process could be improved. We had to call the owner, Martin when we arrived, but do not have access to calling as we’re from North America. He is not on WhatsApp to text either. There isn’t a ton of dinner options around, just be aware! Walls in the room could use a good wipe down and the pillows were quite hard. There was quite a bit of noise from the surrounding rooms, talking and TV’s. Fine enough for a stop over, wouldn’t book for a multiple night stay! In
