Kettle House B&B

What a great B&B. We stayed here for one night in early June. The wife, myself and our wee dog. It was perfect.. 100% spot on, great room, great hosts, great breakfast. And the gardens were amazing. Would love to visit again.

Tucked away, we found the Kettle house nestled in a well looked after country garden. It’s a lovely well presented dog friendly place . Our room was right at the top of the house up a ‘spirally’ type staircase. The room was well presented, clean and cosy. Two little cupcakes and a mini fridge for milk greeted us. WiFi is a bit hit and miss and mobile signal sporadic but hey we need a break from technology at times. This is a B&B only so no food available in the evenings - but there’s plenty of places to eat within a short drive/walk. Beds are really comfortable and we had a great night sleep. We booked our breakfast the night before as requested. I chose scrambled eggs and smoked salmon - my partner chose the Scottish breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and it was the prettiest breakfast table with our own selection of cereals and fruit - perfect . This place is a hidden gem and well worth staying

I wish I could give this guesthouse a higher rating than 5! It’s obvious how hard the owners work to give their guests an exceptional experience throughout their stay. The house itself is cosy and inviting from the moment you walk through the front door. Our room was well furnished with a small sofa, TV and DVD player (with a good selection of DVDs to choose from), a mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities - including fresh milk in the fridge and a welcoming homemade cupcake each! The en-suite was a good size with a powerful hot shower and the bed was extremely comfortable! My favourite thing about our stay was the breakfast. A wide selection of cereals, yoghurts and fruit was readily available on the table to help yourself to, and then you chose which hot breakfast item you’d like off a menu which included items such as a full Scottish plate, salmon and eggs, egg and soldiers etc. As we were only here for the one night, we didn’t get a chance to walk into Fort Augustus to see how long the walk would be, but the drive was less than 5 minutes. I could happily have spent a week at this guesthouse!

We stayed here for one night on a weekend in September and would definitely return back to this BnB if we are in the area! Comfiest bed we’ve ever slept in and based in such a lovely area. We absolutely loved the fact there was a DVD player in our room! We also thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in the morning. 100% recommend this place to stay!

I stayed at Kettle House for a recent visit to Fort Augustus and can't speak highly enough of the BnB. Aside from being perfectly located for exploring the area, Kettle House was also very comfortable, welcoming, and kitted out with all the amenities one needs for a trip away. Tucked away in the trees and surrounded by charming scenery, the BnB felt like a little treasure. Overall, a wonderful stay at Kettle House, and I'd recommend it to anybody visiting Fort Augustus.

This is an utterly STUNNING b and b. The building is set in beautiful grounds. Our top floor room, no2 was in amongst the tree tops. Beds were comfy, small fridge with milk, tea coffee and 2 cakes. The room itself is beautifully decorated and everything is bright and clean. We have pre ordered breakfast, yet to eat, but I’m sure it will be great. The owners are obviously passionate about their b and b and the attention to detail is remarkable. Wi fi works well. This is without doubt one of THE best b and bs we have ever stayed in, and we’ve been in a few. Thank you Natalie…much appreciated by these 2 weary travellers.

Best B&B we stayed in on our Great Glen Way cycling trip. Lots of thoughtful touches in rooms, inlcuding fresh milk in fridge for tea. Breakfast good but sausage - my go to measure of breakfast quality - not ther best so only scored 4/5. Would prefer orange juice not from concentrate too.

Another wonderful stay at the Kettle House. Natalie and Mark are great hosts, and nothing is too much trouble. Home baking is delicious and even received 2 easter eggs 🐣 . Thank you. We love room 1, bed very comfortable and soft. Peaceful and dark at night and slept like a baby. Small fridge to keep goodies cold. Kettle for tea and coffee and milk provided. Scottish breakfast is very nice and just the right amount to set you up for a day of exploring the Highlands. Good choice of breakfast available. Great base to explore from, with free car parking and an easy walk into Fort Augustus and Loch Ness. Already booked for 2024 with more adventures.

Amazing better than all of the band bs I have been in. If I could give 6 stars I would give 12 The best place I have ever been in. Host were amazing and the breakfast that Mark cooked was the best breckfast in my life Tim
