I didn’t stay at the hotel myself but called around noon to ask if they could delivery a bootle of wine to the dinner table for one of their guests who is celebrating a big birthday today. I wanted to pay for the bottle with my credit card; however, was informed by a quite impolite female staff member that I’m too late and that they cannot do it before they receive payment. When I asked if they, as a 4-star hotel, would not take any credit cards, the answer was NO. I’m very surprised, for one that a 4-star property does not accept credit cards, and for another how unfriendly the staff is, turning down an opportunity to generate business for their employer.

We have now eaten at the buffet several times and nothing has changed. The food is only lukewarm, very greasy and not replenished enough. There is also not always serving cutlery. At Easter there was enough lukewarm kale, which in my opinion no longer belongs on an Easter buffet. The whole salmon was just lying in the bones and was not replenished. A very unkempt, lukewarm buffet, and this has been the case every time we visit, with the hope that it will get better. A very strange concept and a very unfriendly boss who does not accept criticism. This was the last time we were there. We are locals and will not recommend the food to anyone.

Light and shadow... we ate there and it was simply delicious... friendly service, nice outdoor seating and all at a fair price... yay, we'll go there again... no sooner said than done... but the second time only the friendly waiter from the first visit was left... and unfortunately it wasn't just us... an older gentleman remarked that the plaice should have been thrown back into the sea when it was caught because it was so small... at the next table the beef fillet strips were commented on with "they had to die several times". We also had plaice twice... unfortunately ours was also more than manageable... the bacon cubes were very, very heavily fried... well, that was unfortunately nothing. Maybe the chef was just having a really bad day?!

Whitsun 2022, went there spontaneously for a meal for the first time. The service was absolutely friendly, the food was top-notch and very plentiful. Next up are the giant currywurst and scampi. After the wonderful experience, we are already looking forward to our next visit. We were very satisfied!

Due to an emergency hospital stay, we were unable to use the room we had booked. We wanted to find a solution and contact them by phone. Unfortunately, no one answered the phone for several hours. At some point we managed to get through to a female person with an accent. She was VERY unfriendly and uncooperative. We then sent a cancellation by email, but did not receive any confirmation from the hotel. So the cancellation had not happened for us. We then decided that we wanted the room after all, but only for one person to occupy it. We then wrote another email to say that we did want the room. There was no response to that either. There was this unfriendly person on site again, who we couldn't talk to. The room was no longer available for us and had already been given to someone else. That means they are now charging us twice! It's a disgrace. We know it's different from other hotels. There was always a nice solution. They could have at least offered us a different time, but nothing came. There's really nothing you can do in an emergency and a little empathy would have been appreciated. The unfriendliness (which also came across in the previous emails) was underlined again. There were even threats to call the police. We are now stuck with the costs and the hotel is making twice as much money. "Thank you very much for that". Please think about whether you want to book there. Very unfriendly and uncooperative.

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend. The room was small, the bathroom was clearly showing its age, the towel rack fell out and the so-called "heated indoor pool" was only 18 degrees. The hotel management responded rudely to complaints and did not react. The only positive things were the staff in the restaurant/bar and the food. But we will not be coming back.

On August 20th, 2022, 4 of us ate at Petersen's country house. The outdoor area is well-kept, there are enough seats and there are some very nice beach chairs with tables in front of them. The male waitress with a modern haircut and accent then brought us to the table. Shortly afterwards he came to take the drinks. A little later the menus came. From then on, unfortunately, things went downhill: not a minute after receiving the cards, we were asked what we wanted to eat. Well, if the menu only contained 2 dishes, we might have been able to make a decision in that time, but like this... No, we still need a little time. Shortly afterwards, a female dark-haired and slim waitress came to take the dishes. My wife, who had a birthday, still couldn't decide and our friend said he already knew what he would have but he's just a guest here. The lady said: oh, so you're JUST a guest here? She took all the cards except one and I watched her angrily slam the cards on a table in the entrance area. When our friend said that he was the only guest here, it was my wife's birthday, so she decided how the evening would go. But the poor woman must have misunderstood that. From then on, we realized that we should never come back here. We were avoided, empty glasses were left standing. We also had to ask for the food, which we had to wait 90 minutes for in a restaurant that was half full. The waiter's comment was: well, you ordered too late. No, and an: oh sorry, I'll take care of it right away, would have been nice. There's nothing negative to say about the food: the quality and quantity were absolutely top-notch. During the meal and when clearing the dishes, not once did anyone ask: is everything OK, did you like it? The food can be as good as it can be, but if the service undermines the chef's efforts, a second visit is unfortunately out of the question. If the two of them have left this beautiful establishment, we would be happy to come back. Conclusion: we would not recommend them. P.S. we are not tourists, we are from Timmendorfer.

Easter buffet I was a guest here for the Easter buffet on Easter Monday 2022 and already know the restaurant from multiple visits and orders of the daily dish. The buffet was supposed to cost 25.90 euros and was advertised with antipasti, soup, cold and warm delicacies, grilled fish and meat specialties and dessert variations in the local media and on the Internet, including photos of previous buffets, so I had corresponding expectations. I had reserved a table, which was ready when I arrived (6 p.m.), the buffet was served from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The tables were not set, no cutlery, no napkins on the table, just bare wooden tables with a flowerpot. No festive or Easter decorations at all, what a pity! The staff were all very friendly, but overwhelmed, most of the staff were probably new and untrained. When I first looked at the buffet, I was disappointed and about to leave. It seemed very run down, even though I was there at 6 p.m., so the buffet had only been open for an hour and was supposed to be ready until 9 p.m. The buffet consisted of a salad plate with red onions, cucumber slices, large pieces of tomato, pieces of orange and lemon. There was also an unlabeled bottle of dressing next to it, it was probably a mustard vinaigrette, and there was also a bottle of oil and vinegar next to it. The salad plate was regularly refilled. There was also a cold cuts and cheese plate. This consisted of inexpensive products, the simplest cheese in slices, unfortunately no soft cheese or cheese in pieces, no fig and mustard sauce or chutney, no grapes or crackers either, a bit unloving, a shame! The cold cuts were also not convincing, again cheap industrial goods, some of which had already oxidized. There was salami, Lyon sausage, poultry pressed meat sausage and very few slices of thin cured ham, which was unfortunately so salty that it was inedible. A plate of cold roast beef, very thickly cut, fatty and tough, slices of cold pork fillet and slices of cold chicken breast were also offered, the pork fillet was tasty thanks to a marinade. Next to it was a bowl of sauce, again no label, it was a garlic sauce, definitely a ready-made product. Antipasti was advertised, but this could not be found, I had expected cold, grilled vegetables and was looking forward to this, like in the photos on the internet. When I asked, a small bowl was brought to my table. The vegetables were very oily and garnished with parmesan, but they tasted good and I got a second bowl of it. All the other guests got none of this. The buffet was also advertised on the internet with photos of cold fish platters, topped with smoked trout, rollmops and salmon, also soft cheese, various dips, cheese in a piece (garnished with berries, grapes and nuts), ham,

We stayed here for 4 days (between Christmas and New Year) and had reserved a comfort room. The whole stay was rather average - but disappointing for a touted 4-star spa hotel. We ourselves come from the hospitality and tourism sectors and can assess everything very well. Room / Plus points: - spacious and tastefully furnished, carpeted floors, large bathroom with towel warmer, minibar available, large wardrobe, bed with good mattresses, TV, bathrobes Room / Minus points: - very noisy, high-speed WiFi kept breaking, no bathing slippers available, old-fashioned key system Indoor pool and sauna / Plus points: - cleanliness, ambience (small pool and 4 loungers are more than sufficient for the size of the hotel) Indoor pool and sauna / Minus points: - water temperature of 28.5°C is very borderline, unfortunately the sauna was only warm from 5 p.m. - a bit late in the winter months Breakfast / Plus points: - the biggest plus point goes to the friendly waitresses in the breakfast service / their good mood infected everyone - coffee tastes good, availability and selection was very good, cleanliness top, Breakfast / Minus points: - very, very strong smell of fried food, especially in the winter garden - there was no extractor system on. All of our clothes still smelled later. - none of the employees (apart from the one hard-working waitress) wore masks and they walked around the entire breakfast area. Evening buffet / plus points: - large selection Evening buffet / minus points: - unfortunately the buffet ruined all the previous positives: 1. vegetables overcooked, kale was almost mush 2. all filling side dishes were cold 3. meat was dry and couldn't be removed from the bone 4. roulades tasted rancid 5. the noise level among the employees was unbearable - details of take-away orders were shouted across the entire buffet 6. there was a strong smell of frying in the rooms the whole time 7. an employee from reception came and took croquettes from the buffet with her fingers and put them in her mouth 8. apart from an Asian lady, none of the employees wore face masks - not even the waiter General: Before we complain about something on social networks, we always give the opportunity to provide explanations on site. 1. Wearing a mask: Even the owner did not wear a mask once, just like his employees. When we asked them about it, we only got a cheeky answer (from the receptionist, who is probably the owner's wife) and then she left us standing. 2. Smell of grease: A gentleman at the next table complained that it even smelled in his room. The owner then blamed the neighbors (because the window was opened to air the room), turned around and also left the guest standing. 3. Management of the house: We have read about the arrogance of the landlord from previous reviews and have to say sorry.
