Jianguo Hotel, Guangzhou

The room was old and had a strong odor. The shower in the bathtub was clogged, and the water didn't even reach my ankles, which was disgusting. There were mold spots all around the tub. Also, the quality of the slippers was different from what was advertised on Trip.com. The soundproofing was terrible; I was disturbed all night by the loud shouting from people playing cards next door. It was a really, really bad experience!

The location of the Guangzhou Jianguo Hotel is excellent, right next to Guangzhou East Railway Station. The entrance to Guangzhou Metro Line 1 is right next to the hotel, making it convenient to go anywhere. I stayed at the Jianguo Hotel last year when I came to Guangzhou, and I'm back again this year!

Overall, the hotel service was excellent. They have a gym and a swimming pool, and the breakfast selection was pretty good, a mix of Chinese and Western options. It's an ideal hotel for business trips, very conveniently located right next to the East Station. Recommended!

Traveling solo this time, and as always, I chose to stay at the Jianguo Hotel. They even upgraded me to a deluxe room this time, which I absolutely loved! The environment, hygiene, and service are consistently excellent. Plus, the hotel is really close to Guangzhou East Station, making it super convenient for getting around. I'll definitely be choosing Jianguo Hotel again next time.

Great location: The hotel is in the heart of Guangzhou, about 100 meters from the East High-Speed Rail station, and right next to a subway station. It's just a few subway stops to all the major attractions in downtown Guangzhou, which is incredibly convenient. Spacious rooms: This is an older five-star hotel, and both the lobby and the rooms are very large. The restaurant is also spacious and very clean. Our stay was incredibly comfortable, and it was very quiet at night, ensuring a good night's sleep. Excellent service: We originally booked a king-sized bed, but since we were traveling with two children, the lady at the front desk kindly changed our reservation to a twin room. We checked in around 10 AM, and when we needed extra toothbrushes for the room, someone brought them up immediately. Thoughtful details: It's rare to see non-smoking floor signs in hotel rooms, which was a really friendly and thoughtful touch, especially for non-smokers and families with children. We had a very pleasant stay and will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Guangzhou.

My friend recommended this hotel when I visited Guangzhou. The room was comfortable, and I didn't have to go far for dim sum; the Chinese restaurant on the fourth floor was very convenient. It's also close to the East Railway Station subway, the environment is pleasant, and it really has that classic, established hotel feel. I ordered fried dough sticks, chicken feet, spare ribs, and shrimp dumplings, and everything was delicious. The shrimp dumplings had thin skin and generous filling, with fresh, springy shrimp. The chicken feet were tender and fell right off the bone, the spare ribs were flavorful, and the fried dough sticks were crispy and light, cutting through any richness perfectly. The quality from this star-rated hotel is consistently excellent, the ingredients are good, and it offers pretty good value for money. The service was also attentive, making it ideal for hotel guests to dine here!
