We chose RedLevel at Gran Melia Palacio de Isora to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Opting for the Red Level for families turned out to be a brilliant decision. Prior to our arrival, I reached out to the Red Level for families concierge, explaining that my wife had injured her knee, making it challenging for her to navigate the resort on foot. To our delight, they promptly arranged for a wheelchair throughout our stay and allocated a first-floor room with direct pool access—an exceptional level of service that set the tone for our visit. The staff members were exceptional, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They not only knew our names but also surprised us with a birthday cake in our room and efficiently addressed any requests via the WhatsApp system. The perks of the Red Level were indispensable for our family. The dedicated Red Level for families area during breakfast, featuring a la carte service, proved invaluable with two young children and a member using a wheelchair. Additionally, the segregated section of the main pool provided a hassle-free spot without worrying about finding available chairs. The Bali beds by the pool were a luxurious touch, and the Red Level for families pool struck the perfect balance, being kid-friendly yet not excessively crowded. A special mention goes to the delightful daily addition of a poolside mat for the kids (and the young at heart, including myself) to enjoy. For those contemplating between the standard side and the Red Level for families, I wholeheartedly recommend the latter. The added benefits and thoughtful services make the Red Level worth the investment. Having visited numerous extraordinary hotels worldwide and considering ourselves well-traveled, Gran Melia Palacio de Isora now holds a special place in our hearts. In fact, we're already planning our return, a testament to the lasting impression this remarkable destination has left on us.

Our ninth visit ( seventh in Red Level) this time with family. A lovely 5 days back at the Gran Melia with perfect weather. We were greeted by Jessica and Denis this time who made us feel welcome to be back. Improvements are a much better variety of nibbles throughout the day and also at the open bar in the late afternoon. We stayed bed and breakfast the standard of which was high as usual. It’s great to see some of the staff who have been there for years. Our rooms looked out of the side of the hotel this time towards Los Gigantes and due to palm trees they were cool and the view was a bit obstructed. All the staff were great and nothing is too much trouble. I think a few sunbed cushions perhaps need replacing now and also staff in the main bar area need to check room numbers against names because someone put two drinks on our bill. Otherwise we had a great stay again and because we love it so much we’re coming back in March. Be careful of using Hoppa/ Suntransfers because they didn’t pick us up and we had to get a local taxi which was a bit stressful. See you in the spring!

My partner and I stayed 2 nights in Red Level Meliá in early November 2023. The staff are very friendly with great service and the spa is great. This was our first experience with Meliá as relatively seasoned travellers in luxury hotels. It’s the first time I leave a negative review for a stay. My main complaint is the room. We had a deluxe ocean view room for approximately 800 euros per night. This is a price level where you expect excellent quality. However, the room did not have a partial ocean view as advertised and on the second night the bed smelled like cigarettes. Neither me or my partner smoke. We mentioned the sea view to staff, where they offered a beverage as compensation. I politely declined. Conclusion: Meliá offered us a room in a price category they cannot achieve to meet. Either it is a ripoff or poor quality. Either way my trust in the brand has been eroded and I sadly won’t return.

One of the best Hotels I have ever stayed at. Absolutely fabulous service. We stayed in on an all-inclusive basis in the Red Level fully frontal Ocean View Room with Hot Tub and it was amazing. Beautiful room, seriously comfortable bed and wonderful views. Absolutely everything included - cocktails, all the food in all the restaurants - nothing with an additional charge. The food in the restaurants was simply amazing, Chateaubriand in Duo was stunning, the sushi in Nami was delicious. The pool and bar in the red level was fantastic - staff couldn't do enough for you. Evening entertainment in the Plaza was good fun with staff constantly coming round and serving drinks. I could go on and on ... but basically I would go back in a heartbeat.

Nice ocean view room. Small outdoor terrace with sofa and private jacuzzi tub. Very comfortable bed and linens. Quiet side of hotel, Red Level, adults only. Huge property, massive pool. We did not use the big pool only adult red level pool. Numerous restaurants, ate in a different one each night on a 6 night stay. Staff were exceptional. Did couples massage in outdoor hut.

This resort is fabulous but upgrading to Red Level makes it amazing. Adults only, all inclusive - it’s not cheap but it’s worth it. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The location is great. The restaurants are fantastic, with each bringing its own theme and very high quality food. The staff are exceptional especially Jacob and Alberto in the Oasis Bar and J Angel at the pool and Jay concierge, they deserve a shout out.

I’m giving this 5 stars out of respect for the excellent staff in the Red Level lounge. They are as good as I’ve ever encountered anywhere. The hotel is in a glorious location, and although overall it’s huge, the Red Level has, historically, always been an oasis of calm for the discerning customer. But..Melia management… however much you deny, deny, deny you’re selling too many rooms in Red Level, you absolutely are. And it is to your peril unless you address it, because I heard at least half a dozen customers say they won’t be coming back due to overcrowding. No one wants to see sunbeds jammed so close to each other there’s hardly room to move. Not at these prices. We didn’t go on holiday with other people, so why do you think we want to be forced to sit six inches from them? It’s a hugely short sighted view. People paying these prices know when something is wrong, and this is wrong. Go back to a higher degree of exclusivity, or lose a lot of your regular customers. It’s a lot easier and more cost effective to keep existing customers than to try and find new ones. I’m booked in for April, and I really hope to see a return to your best form! Because when it’s good, it’s fantastic.

4th visit. Obvious that more rooms have been designated as Red Level, making the pool area disappointingly busy and feeling less exclusive. App didn’t allow for full ocean view room booking but didn’t make that clear. Building work, which necessitated breakfast being moved, was not advised prior to arrival. Breakfast again also didn’t feel exclusive as a result (no harpest for example). We were also surprised by the hotel allowing a 10 strong young hen party to book Red Level. That said … rooms are still lovely and spacious; spa excellent; afternoon complementary drinks and nibbles a really nice touch. Also love the heated large Red Level pool. We will more than likely return but would strongly recommend to Melia they think about the exclusivity of what they are selling.
