DDani_19We abbsolutely loved staying here. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The resort has it’s own private beach which is great! We also enjoyed the food here. They have pretty diverse food options for breakfast and excellent service!

IItsnamthipA Perfect Birthday Stay at Pakasai Resort! I stayed at Pakasai Resort in Ao Nang, Krabi for 2 nights (June 22–24) and couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience—especially for my birthday! I originally only hoped for a room upgrade, but the resort went far beyond my expectations and made my celebration truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, and the surprises didn’t stop there. On my birthday, I was greeted with a beautiful birthday cake, a thoughtful message arranged on the bed, and genuinely heartfelt service throughout the day. I also booked dinner at GAIA, the resort’s own restaurant, and was treated to a free cocktail to celebrate. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent—it was the perfect birthday dinner. The resort itself is cozy and peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery that makes you feel close to nature. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, and the entire resort has a calm, welcoming vibe. Overall, I felt truly taken care of during my stay. I highly recommend Pakasai Resort to anyone visiting Ao Nang, especially if you're looking for a place that combines comfort, nature, and genuinely caring service. I’m already thinking about coming back!

GGuest UserFrom the moment we arrived the staff are so friendly and welcoming they are all a credit to the hotel. My husband and I loved staying at The Grand Mecure we were in krabi last year and stayed at Hotel Adam but we preferred this. The room are beautiful the bed and pillows are so comfortable lots of room, we got our room moved and had sea view block c would definitely recommend. Breakfast was fantastic so much choice definitely something for everyone we tried things we would not normally eat for breakfast and it was delicious. Before we headed out in the evening we took advantage of bogof cocktails and Dew made an excellent cocktail and is so friendly. We will 100% be returning to this hotel when we are next in Krabi!!

GGuest UserTravelled in a family of 4 including two toddlers during early June. Unfortunately our room was very wet, and no it is not because of the rainy season. Went to check out the rooms of my cousins, they are dry and fine. To describe the wetness. Couch, bedsheet, pillow, every fabric you can touch is damp. The floor is constantly having a layer of water as if you wiped it with a very wet mop. Run a tissue across tabletop, it gets soaking wet in a few seconds. Called the front desk but there’s nothing they can do and they did not allow to change a room. Other than that everything else is great. The last bit- we wanted to celebrate my daughter’s birthday there but they offered a free cake only minutes before we check out.

MMerveYThe hotel has a beautiful location and the beach is truly excellent. The room was also comfortable and nicely designed. The staff are generally friendly and polite. However, this hotel definitely does not meet 5-star standards. There was no security or lifeguard at the pool or the beach, which is very concerning, especially for families with children. The staff are kind, but there is almost no proactive service. You need to explain everything twice and personally find someone if you need assistance. Housekeeping was also below expectations. Towels and tissues were not replenished unless we specifically requested them. Nothing in the room was refreshed automatically. Even more disappointing, the WiFi was cut off immediately after we checked out. One particularly unpleasant experience happened at the restaurant by the beach. I briefly stepped inside in my swimsuit just to call my child. I explained that we were leaving immediately to change and would return for dinner properly dressed. Instead of a polite reminder, I was told in a harsh tone that I had to leave immediately and that proper clothing was required. The way it was handled felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. Overall, the hotel is nice in terms of location and beach quality, but the service level and overall management do not justify a 5-star rating.

GGuest UserWe had an overall enjoyable stay at Sofitel in Krabi, with a few areas that could be improved—especially given the expectations of a five-star property. The location is a clear highlight. The beach is calm and relatively private, without the usual crowd of boats, which made for a very relaxing environment. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety and consistently good quality. The overall decor of the lobby and restaurants was also beautifully done, creating a pleasant and refined atmosphere for both breakfast and dinner. However, service was somewhat inconsistent. Room service could be slow at times, and on a few occasions, items like trash left outside the room were not cleared promptly. There were also communication lapses—for example, we had requested assistance to coordinate with an elephant sanctuary, but the message was not properly followed through between staff members. There were also minor maintenance issues, such as a non-functioning balcony light, which we chose not to escalate but would have expected to be addressed proactively at this level. For a family room, we expected more thoughtful child-friendly design. Simple things like a stool for children to reach the sink were missing, which made basic routines unnecessarily difficult and less safe. The pool facilities were decent but not outstanding, and cleanliness could be improved. In particular, the kiddie pool had visible debris and bugs, which made it less comfortable for young children. We also found the pool safety setup confusing and somewhat concerning. There were clear warnings stating that there are no lifeguards and that parents are responsible for supervision. However, there was consistently a staff member seated by the pool under a shaded area, appearing like a lifeguard but not actively monitoring the pool. This created a misleading impression and could give families a false sense of security. During our stay, we also witnessed a situation where a child became stuck under part of the pool obstacle structure, and assistance had to be actively requested from nearby staff. While the situation was resolved, it reinforced our concern that supervision and safety measures could be more proactive. Given the number of safety warnings posted around the pool, we were surprised that no trained lifeguard was present, especially as the current setup may give families a false sense of supervision. One of the main drawbacks was the pricing structure. Many services and items felt excessively priced, including: • Food at the on-site restaurants (significantly higher than comparable options outside the resort) • Transport and excursion arrangements (e.g., speedboat pricing well above market rates) • Activity rentals, such as the Sub Blue underwater scooter (350 THB++ for 30 minutes), which felt disproportionately expensive • Additional charges for small requests, including delivery fees for food within the property These added costs created a sense of being “nickel-and-dimed,” which detracted from the overall experience. Overall, while we appreciated the beautiful location, excellent breakfast, and well-designed spaces, we felt that service consistency, family-friendliness, safety clarity, and value for money could be improved to better align with five-star expectations.

Its main highlight is the 'Fantasy World' pool with its large water slides, making it one of the best-reputed family-friendly hotels in Krabi. Here are some key points for a quick overview: * **Top-notch Family Facilities:** The star attraction is the 'Fantasy World' pool area, featuring 5-meter and 8-meter slides, an artificial waterfall, and a lazy river, ensuring kids have a blast. There's also a 'Quiet Zone' pool for adults looking to relax. * **Location & Accessibility:** The location is very convenient. It's about a 5-minute walk to Nopparat Thara Beach and only 10-15 minutes to Ao Nang Night Market. Restaurants and convenience stores are right outside the hotel. * **Room Types & Dining:** Family rooms are spacious, and some even have direct pool access. Breakfast offers a wide variety (including ice cream for kids), but reviews are mixed; it can get crowded during peak times, and the coffee and juice are just average. * **Service & Hygiene:** Staff are generally friendly and professional, but some guests have reported that certain facilities (like restrooms) aren't maintained or cleaned adequately, and occasionally there are small ants in the rooms. Overall, if your top priority is 'keeping the kids entertained,' this is a fantastic option. However, if you're looking for a romantic getaway or the absolute best value for money, some guests have suggested that there might be more comfortable or private options in Krabi at a similar price point. GGuest UserThis hotel is amazing! It used to be a temple so it has a fantastic Thai architecture. The room and bathroom were really big and spacious. The staff was friendly and the housekeeping is daily and dedicated. The aircon worked well, the bed was comfortable and there's plenty of furniture in the rooms. The swimming pool is big and in good condition. The hotel is right in front of the beach but not in the central Ao Nang area. The wifi was very weak during the whole stay.
