I stayed 3 nights but easily could stay the whole week there. Well-equipped kitchen, laundry (paid), clean bathrooms, free parking, and I was lucky to stay alone in my dorm room.

Very friendly and accommodating. I was unsure when I would be able to check in, but they were very hwlpful ensuring I could get in when I needed to without fuss. They were also veru helpful when circumstances changed. I would certainly stay here again.

Clean. Great location. Friendly. There is a but...it's a never ending symphony of slamming doors. Every time anyone exits or enters any room, every other room can hear it. BANG, BANG very loud. Good luck getting any sleep.

Very nicely located and looked after YHA. Good setup with two kitchens and lounge areas, + great dining room and outdoor eating / relaxing areas. Ended up staying three times using this as a base for hikes on the Grampians Peaks Trail. Hosts are excellent and very helpful (and actually on the desk, unlike a lot of YHA where desk is staffed by other travellers with little local knowledge). Would definitely recommend as a great base to see the Grampians.

Out of all the Halls Gap hostels I've stayed at the YHA is officially my favourite. The place has a really good atmosphere and the owners are some of the nicest I've met whilst travelling - they were happy to share local knowledge and made my stay all the nicer. Location is great and the facilities were clean and well maintained - they are really committed to being eco friendly and covid safe. Also I booked via the YHA itself so the price for my private room was cheaper than what I saw on the booking sites. The only negative I can think of was the type of toilet roll holder they have in the mens' toilets. Will definitely stay here again!!!
