Service staff are all polite and attentive. We had a great stay with a good spread of food at the Club Lounge. Ambience is pleasant. Near to Wu Lin night market where there are a lot of interesting things and food.

When checking in, the staff tried to get me pay for an for a room upgrade (shocking!!!). I paid for lakeview room but I think I got possibly the worst located lakeview room.
When cleaning the room, the staff actually left cups unwashed.
No welcoming smiles or greetings when crossing path with staff at lobby . Did not feel welcome at all.
Compared to other 4*-5*hotels in China, no welcome fruits or complimentary drinks (other than water).
Considering that I checked in on my birthday, not even a birthday greeting or any acknowledgement.

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The service and cleanliness were impeccable from start to finish, and every detail was carefully taken care of. We were pleasantly surprised to receive fresh fruit on both days of our stay, a thoughtful touch that made us feel very welcome. While the hotel is a little set back and the lake views are rather minimal, the overall experience was still wonderful and relaxing. A special mention to Taylor Cao, who kindly helped us arrange shipping our luggage with SF to our next destination — his support made our trip much easier. Everything exceeded our expectations — highly recommended!

Very clean, tidy and spacious room with great amenities. The room is too comfortable to stay in. The location is fantastic. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall. Your meals are easily covered if you're lazy to go far out.
The hotel breakfast was superb. Wide spread of food choice. More importantly, the dishes were freshly cooked and always warm even if they were prepared early. The taste was delicious too.
I would definitely come back here again.

My daughter and I absolutely loved the stay at Mid-town Shangri-la. Fantastic facilities- everything worked perfectly, great view of the West Lake, and amazing staff. Mike Zhang at the concierge was particularly helpful and helped us carry the luggage to the underground station. We will definitely stay there again if we ever visit Hangzhou again.

Perfectly located within walking distance to West Lake, with a shopping mall right next door. The hotel offers amazing breakfast, spotless rooms, and exceptional 5-star service. Truly a 5-star experience!
