It is one of the very few places that have 4 adult room. The hotel is within a compound of many other hotels and it is situated at the end of one of the many small walkways thus takes a little searching when first arrival. Surrounding the hotel are many dinners and shops that sell basic necessities. Ms. Lily, who is the receptionist and also takes care of the hotel is very helpful. I would surly consider staying at this hotel when in Hangzhou and need to be within this area.

City nest has everything I could want, a lovely room, a comfortable bed, hot water, plenty of eating places, my favourit almost next door, help from the owner and on the best side of West Lake. From here you can walk to both Su and Bei causeway and get a metro to the Grand canal for a lovely ferry ride.

I was disappointed when I arrived, the room and facilities were lacking compared with expectation I had before booking. Small room and in need of renovation compared to other guest houses in the area. The room didn’t even have a bed frame, broken wooden flooring, wall stains, poor washing amenities. Management lacked staff and support. I later checked in to a much better presented guest house close by at a lower price per night. Management overall here need to refocus on guest experience and keep up with their competition. Other guest houses around the area seem to be of much higher quality.

All the amenities were provided. You can hire e-bike or bicycle here. The host goes extra miles to help.

The place was excellent, comfortable, silent, clean, pleasant, and charming. The vibe of a cozy nest. Our tatami room was a rare find. The lady at the front desk was so helpful and friendly, and another young man showed excellent, social, and pleasant service. Everything went great for us: location, environment, cleanliness, service. It's a fantastic place. Will stay again and recommend it to my friends.

This was a great find in Hangzhou. We really enjoyed the hostess and her family and would return again for that reason. Her English was also very good.
The coffee is very nice for 8rmb!
I’ve read other reviews about WiFi and it does require a local Chinese number to connect.
The cleanliness was a little lacking. I was traveling with a toddler who is often on the floor. I wish the floor had been cleaner in the room and bathroom.
I was able to laundry on site and there was a dryer available (20 rmb total).
Overall, great stay and will hopefully return again.

The manager was very helpful, changing our room to a better one at the same price, renting bikes for us at a very fair rate, and providing us accurate advice. Free instant coffee was available as well as water and milk and bread.
Our first room was a loft, and it was fine; our second room had a balcony and was excellent.
Highly recommended. Excellent location, excellent rooms, and excellent service.
