I wanted to share some thoughts following our recent two-day stay at Hanoi Nostalgia Hotel & Spa. While we had booked a triple guest bedroom, the room allocated to us was quite different from the images shown on the booking portal. The actual room was much smaller and lacked the spaciousness that was advertised, which was disappointing. We also ran into issues with the air conditioning not functioning properly. Although we reported this to the staff, their response was less than satisfactory. An engineer was sent to check, but we experienced rude behavior and no resolution to the problem. Ultimately, we were told we’d be given a table fan, which seemed odd for a hotel with centralized air conditioning. Communication was difficult as the staff seemed to struggle with English, making it hard to get our concerns addressed. Breakfast was another area that could use improvement, especially for vegetarians. The selection was extremely limited, with only boiled vegetables available and not much else to choose from. While the hotel’s location near the night street is convenient, it comes with a downside—there’s a lot of noise from nearby pubs and drink corners, and music can be heard late into the night, particularly over the weekends. Another thing to note is that if you choose to pay with a card at the hotel, be prepared for an extra 3% charge. Overall, the hotel experience was just average. Despite being advertised as a 4-star property, the service and amenities didn’t match the expectation or the price. There’s certainly room for improvement, particularly in staff communication, amenities, and customer care. same time we notice ANT in the room which we reported to hotel staff too but still same reaction they are least bother about it. Great service at this lovely hotel in the old quarter. Right on Bia (beer ) street.. so if you want to be in the thick of the boozed up party travellers out the hotel front door. Balcony rooms overlook the night-life so, bring your earplugs, its loud.. with music and people out till the early morning. Great breakfast, great room, with swimming pool, and rooftop garden, deckchairs and area to chill. Definitely will be back

Always greeted us at the door. Made us a takeaway breakfast when we had an early morning tour pickup and could not have breakfast at the normal dining time.

Great value in the heart of the Old Quarter! I recently stayed at Hanoi Nostalgia Hotel and Spa and had a very solid experience. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for the price, especially considering its prime spot in the Old Quarter. The Rooms & Noise: The rooms were pretty clean, though definitely smaller than they look in the pictures. Since the hotel is centrally located, it is fairly noisy outside; however, the hotel is clearly aware of this and provides earplugs in the room, which was a very helpful touch for a better night's sleep. Breakfast & Service: The buffet breakfast was ok—standard/average for what you’d expect. What really made the stay, though, was the excellent staff. They were incredibly professional and welcoming throughout my visit. Verdict: If you want to be right in the action of the Old Quarter and appreciate great service, this is a fantastic budget-friendly choice. Just be prepared for a cozy room size!
