This is a nice, clean, and comfortable hotel. The breakfast is, like breakfasts generally in Israel hotels, plentiful, varied, and healthy. Yeruham is not exactly a major tourist center, and one doesn't expect luxury there; this place provides a good, comfortable place to stay. I would add that we were here during the war in Gaza, and it may well be that the hotel would be livelier and have a different feel in ordinary times.

This is a lovely hotel in an unexpected location, the small town of Yeruham. Our room was great, included a small but comfortable living room with a couch, table and desk. The bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. There is a large pool with chairs around. Meals were very good with plenty of choices. The dining room staff are wonderful! We had a small issue at checkout but it was resolved. The only issue we had was the high price but this is the going rate in this area.

Pleasant place to stay. Rooms quite modern. Our room had a separate sitting area, bedroom and bathroom. Staff were very friendly. There is a small gift shop with some interesting items. Wifi worked well.

In the middle of this sleepy Israel town is an oasis called the Desert Iris Hotel. We were greeted by lovely staff, mostly local residents. The bungalow style rooms have a living room with a sleep sofa, bedroom and full bath with a shower. There is a small outdoor patio. The pool is beautiful with a nice picnic area surrounding it. We did have to purchase our own pillows as the ones provided were lumpy. The staff though were apologetic. The breakfast is ample, basic- the kids loved that pizza was served at breakfast.

Dinner was mostly Mid-East cuisine: spicy. Only beef was spicy meatballs. Soup tasted like salamy at ₪120/ person... overpriced. Long long walk to the room. No charm.

My husband wanted a short getaway and decided on visiting Yerucham which is in Israel's Negev Desert. We chose the Desert Iris Hotel, and we are so happy that we did. The staff is professional and courteous. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a refrigerator , and each room has a small porch looking out on a common courtyard. The pool was large and the food was fantastic. There is a ramp leading into the hotel and a small elevator that brings people up 1/2 flight from lobby level to hotel level. Two of the rooms are completely wheelchair accessible. Each room has a bedroom and sitting area as well as a bathroom with stall shower. The food was delicious. For people who keep kosher, the food is certified by the local Yerucham rabbinate. You can choose bed and breakfast or 1/2 board which includes dinner. No lunch except on Saturday (Shabbat). It is close to great desert hiking trails in the Big and Little Machtesh and is only 45 minutes from Machtesh Ramon.. There is a small room that is converted to a synagogue on Shabbat and there is a Sefer Torah. I think the room can accommodate 30 people - small but adequate. Also, Shabbat keys are available. The lobby has a small bar but adequate. This is a great option for couples or families.

We are on the last night of a very pleasant stay in this hotel. We took a "hotel holiday", which means we park the car at the beginning of the holiday and leave in it at the end. No shopping, no evenings out. Eat, sleep and spend time, all of it, at the hotel. During the day, when it is open, we go to the pool, the rest, we laze. The room we received was large and comfortable. A suite near the pool. Five minutes from the dining room/lobby. We asked for and received breakfast, signed on for supper, payment per person, and one day bought lunch. We were not disappointed by a single meal. Excellent chefs. The staff are friendly and share all the chores, from manager to waitress/er: all serve, wash floors, clean windows in the lobby. The rooms have different teams. Cleanliness not five stars, butcares about about a bit of black grout or a dusty corner if all they received was good service and friendliness throughout their stay.

Breakfast wasn’t good as the variety was limited.
