Stayed in the modern part of the hotel as the grand manor is being refurbished. The room was lovely and we were upgraded to a room with a beautiful balcony. The balcony was immaculate something often missed at other hotels. Great ground to stroll around. Complementary bottle of cider in the room on arrival with fruit, water & biscuits. No fridge in the room but kettle etc was provided. First class towels & robes. Dinner was included, it was a three course no choice menu but it was very good quality. Breakfast was also very good.

Wonderful staff and quiet property nestled in the countryside.
Minimal Wi-fi connectivity and on-site options, at least during the winter months, make this a bit more of a limited offering at that time.

Wir haben einen tollen Abend im Gourmetrestaurant verbracht mit hervorragendem Essen und aufmerksamem Service! Leider fiel dem gegenüber die Übernachtung in den renovierungsbedürftigen Zimmern sehr stark ab. Anstatt 5 Sterne könnte man es als Landhausstil bezeichnen und wäre mit der Hälfte des Preises ausreichend bezahlt. Auch das Frühstück, bei dem man den Cappuccino extra bezahlen musste ist ein no go und war sein Geld nicht wert. Auch eine Pauschale von 25€ für das Laden eines E-Autos vor einer Scheune ohne Garagenplatz haben wir noch nirgendwo erlebt. Der sogenannte „Wellnessbereich“ ist schon länger dringend renovierungsbedürftig und dürfte zur Erlangung der 5 Sterne garnicht herangezogen werden. Fazit: Das Essen im Gourmetbereich hervorragend mit sehr motiviertem Personal. Übernachten sollte man für den Preis woanders.
