We had a very pleasant stay at 7 on Marine. The rooms were really spacious, clean and comfortable. The view form our room was beautiful . The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We will definitely visit again.

great midern stylish hotel great rooms , excellent view , super showers excellent breakfast nice inhouse arrangements .. furniture , views very friendly people great location , ready and easy to reach walking path next to shore good parking

We stayed 2 years ago and loved it so booked again for 4 nights. We requested a quiet room We were not given the room (6) we were booked for but a dark ground floor room with no outlook and no privacy. The curtains had to be kept drawn all day. It was next to reception with accompanying noise. Despite repeatedly asking for an explanation none was forthcoming. We were told an alternative room was available/ then told it was being used/ then told we couldn’t look at it/ would have to get permission and so on. We were told that despite load shedding ‘everything worked except AC and hair dryers. In truth nothing worked except dim ceiling lights and Wi-Fi. Given the ongoing issue with load shedding surely a 5* venue should be self sufficient. When asked when load shedding was taking place we were told to down load the app! How about putting up a notice. We found the receptionist to be dismissive with a tendency to minimise issues rather than address and deal with matters raised. We felt that there was an issue with reception staffing having been told that someone had been ‘brought in to sort things out’. Staff there seemed to have just started and reluctant to take responsibility.

Everything about 7 On Marine is outstanding. The location giving amazing views of the ocean and just a short walk in to Hermanus. The building itself is beautifully designed with stunning interiors. The view from the room is incredible with a large sliding door allowing you to enjoy the sea breeze and the sound of the ocean. Amazingly comfortable bed and stylish bathroom. Breakfast and the service was great

Our experience was terrible. Bad service, no one around to assist you at night or day. Our baths plug never opened and was never attended to, despite being reported twice. Mold in the showers, one day they never serviced our room at all. They provide a stunning breakfast, but we were never asked if we want toast with the breakfast or extras. They have a stunning bar area, but no one there ever to serve you. When you looked for someone to assist, no one was around. The cushions on the patio with beautiful views were never put out, so you could enjoy this area and the views. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel, at best a 2 star bed and breakfast. The daily pricing definitely too expensive for what you get.

***nor and her staff were super welcoming despite the challenging conditions due to the disruptions because of the 100 year storm that just hit the area. The property was supposed to be closed, but due to ******* being unable to inform us in time, we showed up unknowingly.
Fortunately ***nor welcomed us with open arms and provided us with everything we needed. The views are amazing (we spotted 4 whales from our bedroom window) especially at sunrise. Impeccable service and very conveniently located in between Hermanus center and Old Harbour (closer to Center). Just cross the street and walk the cliff path to see loads of Dassies and whales.
Would give 6 stars if I could, will certainly visit again.

A lovely guesthouse on the seafront in Hermanus. Spotlessly clean throughout, lovely room with free standing bath. Great lounge area with honest bar and deck overlooking the sea from which we saw whales one morning. Fabulous breakfast, great hosts and a 5 minute walk into Hermanus. Also opposite a lovely tapas beach bar called Ficks which is well worth a visit. Highly recommend.
