Beach and the Poolside are the only pluses for me. Staff is not bad, but cant say friendly Bathroom are congested, showers are not working properly, Doors and sliders are beaten up, locks are corroded. No Tv No intercoms to contact the reception Empty minibar

On the outset, this hotel looks ok - but I now see they use pre-tsunami photos which are absolutely not a true representation of the bedrooms. The outside pool area is ok, although the furniture is a little tired. When we arrived in late December, we were mortified by our initial room, which was more like a dungeon as it was so dark, and faced a miserable concrete wall outside. The room was damp, mouldy, the furniture old and dilapidated. We complained and the next day they gave us their best room overlooking the beach, with a balcony. This room was somewhat better in comparison, but did not live up to our expectations at all. The room was still old and dilapidated. If it wasn't for the beach and pool view we would have left and gone elsewhere!

The hotel pluses: Perfect place, a lot of tourist and a lot of beach bars, somedays live music. Amazing view from room. Pool view straight to the beach. Amazing sunsets. Hotel minuses: Staf are not very friendly. They do not let people bring their own drinks or food (in other hotels this will be allowed, no problem) in this hotel alot of problems. The hotel is untidy and dirty. Beach towels are collected after the day, not washed but dried, and given to customers the next morning. Rooms are cleaning but In the roomsthe are damp at night. First night we was sleeping with mouses. A lot of mouses in the rooms. They have a lot of room with wall view(windows straight to the antohrer building wall, no light from windows) In general, I understand that Asia has different standards and procedures, but the hygiene here is very deplorable. Bad breskfast. Bad service. 9;40 am the pool are still cleaning- this is not normal because everybodies wake up at 7am go breakfast and then you want to jump to the pool but… the staf are wery wery slownly. If you ask the towel- they bring it to you from 10-15 minutes. The pool are ready to swim about 10am. The biggest hotelt minuses- bad rooms and weddings party. 2 weddings per day. Everyday local veddings or some b-days: When weddings in outside- nobodies swimming in the pool because the front of the pool are ceremony, photographers. Before booking this hotel i was asked about wedding, and they told me that weddings are different area and do not disturbing any guests. But it is not true. The weddings a little bit disturbing. The best thing in this kitel is great view and location. Nothing more.

The most terrible hotel ever. Very dirty rooms, sheets and towels were dirty, toilet wasn’t clean. No sleep for three nights because bed was terrible, felt pows on my back. Tecnomusic was so loud all the time, from morning till night. Payment was forehand, and now we know why… Don’t ever go here of you want to enjoy your holiday.

While to reception area, pool and beach location were great the rooms were terrible. You could feel the springs through the bed, there was sand on the floor from previous occupants, plastic shower curtains meant the entire bathroom floor was under water and my doona had an old dried blood stain on it. In the plus side the curries were good and the staff were warm and friendly. It’s overpriced for what you get. While it’s rated 3 stars I’d struggle to give it 2 stars. Also the DJ played loud disco music from late morning until about 11pm so don’t expect a quiet time to nap. However they did turn the music off (at 9.30pm) when I complained about it as we were tired and wanted to go to sleep.

Nice hotel in the beach side. Has good food. Friendly staff but can be better. Location is a bit far from the touristic area but nothing to complain. Food was tasty and the sea view never gets old. We visited during the low season so the hotel was functioning with a minimum number of staff but everything was smooth.

It is the worst hotel I have ever seen. Dirty bedsheets, with lots of stains. I asked to change them, but new ones were also with stains. All environment in the room is either broken or dirty or not functioning properly. Curtains are dirty and torn in some places. Stay away from this place.

The beach is sandy and perfect for swimming and walking . The room and pool area are clean but a little bit old. Pool is closed at 8 p.m. Staff are friendly. The breakfast is good both choice of international and srilankan.

I had the worst experience in this place. I don't recommend this place for a stay. Poor Management &food quality -0 ,worst customer service and really disappointed there behaviors . Unpleasant treatment of Prasanna Sampath (Operation manager of hikkaduwa beach )
