Hotel de Magneet

Another enjoyable stay at this hotel. Conveniently placed with its own car parking area, even if it is a bit tight to get into. Friendly owners and staff. Excellent choices for breakfast. Comfy rooms. Near to some very good restaurants for evening meals.

Loved our stay at Hotel de Magneet . Hoorn is a charming city and a very convenient location for exploring Old Holland, The Zuiderzee Museum and is also very close to Amsterdam by bus or train. The modern hotel is located a short walk to the bus and train station . The room was located in the garden and was quiet, clean and comfortable . The bathroom was very clean with a bath and all amenities. The included breakfast was extensive with both hot and cold options . It was served buffet style in a newly renovated and sunny restaurant area. The room also had a kettle and a TV. The owners were very helpful with recommendations and always on hand to answer any questions. There are lots of cafes and restaurants close by in the main square and the harbour.

My wife and I stayed for two nights and arrived by train. It was a 15 minute walk from the train. We stopped for lunch in town on the way and the oath took us along the canals. Then we explored the harbor area, which is very close. During our stay we traveled by train to Enkhuizen to their history museum. We also explored the Westfries Museum, which is very close to the hotel. This is all to say that the hotel was in the midst of it all. The breakfast was very nice, and our room was everything we needed. Clean and neat. The public toilets are the best we have seen in the Netherlands! Now, we must share that we also received such personal attention during our stay. We were given a free tour booklet that the hotel has developed as a walking tour for the town. It was in English, and we enjoyed finding history that we did not hear in other places we visited. They were keen to keep our bags the last morning after checkup while we visited the museum. You should also ask about a special Havenbitter liquor that is made by the hotel. All in all, it was an incredible experience. Proost!

Friendly staff, tidy room. Situated in a quiet area. No complaints.

We stayed here as I was doing the ironman 70.3. It was the perfect place to stay. Comfortable, clean room with a good shower. Decent breakfast in the morning and couldn't have been better located. Hoorn is lovely, peaceful and pleasant to wander around. Lots of birds to spot and watch. The people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. This is a great family run hotel just on the edge of the centre of Hoorn. A five minute walk from the town square. I was travelling solo, visiting my boat which is wintered here ashore. The single bed room was very clean with sufficient space to move around. The en-suite shower/toilet was spacious and again very clean. Good size TV with a few English channels. The breakfast was buffet style, tasted nice and was generous. The owners are friendly and engaging. This hotel was just right for me and I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was amazing, the rooms were quiet and well equipt. Location was in walking distance to everything and the city is incredible. Breakfast has plenty of options and the owners were very helpful! Excited to visit again.
