This Best Western hotel is surprisingly bad. Is it in bad location, it has rude and insipid management, and it’s very outdated and uncomfortable. The worse thing is, it only gets worse every year here. It’s time for Best Western to close this one down.
There are roaches and crickets in the air conditioning units (the kind that are next to the window in each room). The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable as if they were purchased in a garage sale from other hotels which were modernizing. The shower head streams out in one beam of water and cannot be adjusted (stuck). The TV remote did not work. The location is basically underneath 2 major highways in Houston.
There are few guests here and it’s clear why. I booked due to a last minute hotel need and accidentally picked the wrong Best Western. But I’ve been here intermittently over the last 5 years when rooms are short in supply in the Energy Corridor. Every time I do, I remember why I vow not to come back— and it has only gotten worse.
Who is this hotel good for? Perhaps people with large pets, those who have limited funds, and those friends and relatives of the staff who form a tight knit community. Being conversant in Spanish would be helpful here as well.
The good news is that they offer a noon checkout time. Stay away from the breakfast though…
