5 out of 5 because of the location and fantastic views . A big thumbs up also to the excellent customer service , especially to Marc who is friendly and attentive to all the guest . The hotel itself is new , nice and clean , the food is good , I will Highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family . Thank you.

Highly recommended! Best hotel in Iseltwald. Everything was perfect- location, facilities, staff, breakfast. Few steps away from the landing stage of Crash Landing On you kdrama. Also, bus station is just 2 min walk from the hotel Staff were very nice and accomodating! They even prepared a special breakfast on our last day there. They really made our trip very memorable and special! Would love to be back here!

We absolutely loved our stay. I had visited Iseltwald in college and always said I’d return to stay at one of the hotels. Could not have had a better time with the staff of the Strandhotel taking such good care of us!

I rarely go back to a place , but this is one of the few holidays where not only would I go back , but also where we felt a week was not long enough. I cannot find enough superlatives to express both the hotel and Iseltwald itself . The location is fantastic , overlooking the lake with superb views . The staff are very friendly and helpful - even loaning a mains converter when ours did not work . The food was exceptional , great breakfast , but I”d recommend half board to enjoy the evening meals . Their steaks and also fish curry with fruit are some of the best I”ve had. Its a small family run hotel and certainly one of my favourites . They even provided a card to give free access to Interlaken bus service Iseltwald is the prettiest village I have been too and Strand hotel has the best views . We will certainly be back Finally I recommend upgrading to a lake view with balcony

Pretty near perfection. Spent 2 weeks with the Hornung family and it felt like we were staying with family. All the staff and management excellent. Was going to Agadir next year. Not now. Roll on 2024

Absolutely loved it here, location is superb especially the views from the Strand Hotel. We stayed on the 3rd floor, one facing the lake and another room facing the jetty both had stunning views. We chose the half board option and couldn’t have been happier, lovely continental breakfast and then a 4 course evening meal. Lots of new things to try with various combinations of different cuisines, each one was well presented and eaten by all. The staff were helpful and friendly, the restaurant staff were superb and took time to talk about the activities and places to visit. There is a free tourist bus into Interlaken just a 30 minute drive away. Locally there is a small shop and a couple of local lake side bars that are great to visit and sit by the lake in the evening.

Lovely location directly on the like in picturesque Iseltwald. Restaurant terrasse directly on the lake, we had a great fish dinner, with fish from the lake and a local white wine. The rooms were nice and light, bathrooms small but modern and very clean, lovely little balconies with spectacular lake views. Great breakfast & coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful and the prices reasonable for the area.

My wife is a fan of the Korean drama show Crash Landing (I’ve never seen it). She was in Heaven. The famous pier is literally steps away from the hotel. If this is the reason you’re visiting, this the perfect location. The hotel is located on beautiful Lake Brienz and the view is spectacular. We selected a lake view room. The view was amazing, the room not so much. For U.S. visitors it’s comparable to a an upscale motel. The high points were the amazing view and likely one the best showers I’ve had in Europe. Unlike most of the EU with their “bird bath” showers, Switzerland isn’t in the EU which perhaps explains the great shower with lots of pressure and water. The restaurant was quite good and the Swiss staff was very friendly except for the front desk. Note there is no air conditioning. To be fair, we were here in one of the hottest summers in Europe. Summary: come for the view, lake and pier (“K” Drama fans) and enjoy the beautiful scenery and Swiss people.
