"The location is excellent, not far from the bus stop, right next to Sai Kaew Beach at the beginning of the beach. The beachfront is shady with trees. The resort is spacious and not crowded. Breakfast is a set menu with plenty of choices, making it filling. There are some construction noises at times, but the staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are spacious. We stayed in Forest 10, a family room for 3 people. The room was hot because it was on the side that received all day sunlight. The TV in the room was broken and difficult to turn on. The remote control had new batteries, and the mosquito netting wouldn't turn on. Although the room wasn't very comfortable, the staff were attentive. My child had a fever and a headache, so I called to ask for medicine the first time, but no one answered. I tried calling twice more, but someone answered and quickly went to get me some fever-reducing medicine. Thank you for your promptness and attention."

"This resort is pretty perfect for families or people not wanting to party every night. I stayed here with my elderly parents, and I don't really have anything bad to say about it. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk on the beach to the more busy part in one direction, and a few minutes the other direction to some of the more nightclub places. This resort is nestled in-between those two noisy places and you can't hear the sound of the music if you want to sleep early. This is why I would rate this place as 10/10. Something to note is that the walk to the rooms is up a hill, so if you don't like walking then maybe it's not for you. For the price, I don't think you can do better than this place."

"An excellent hotel with excellent service on the most beautiful beach of the island. Regardless of the chosen accommodation option, you will have the opportunity to enjoy nature and relaxation in exceptionally comfortable conditions, and the hotel staff will sincerely do everything possible for this, starting from meeting you in your own station area before transferring to the island. The organization of the hotel is at its best. Cleanliness, comfort, quality of bedding, friendliness and responsiveness of the staff, security, attitude towards guests, breakfasts, a restaurant for lunch and dinner overlooking the beach, a bar with drinks, two different beaches, a large territory - everything is equipped and done so that guests do not want to leave the hotel throughout their stay. In my opinion, the hotels of the Samedresorts chain and in this case Sai Kaew Beach Resort are one of the best pages of our frequent vacation in Thailand. This time, our large group of friends with children and parents (23 people), vacationing in Pattaya, rented 8 or 9 separate deluxe cottages in this hotel for three nights. Despite the different ages of the vacationers (the youngest tourist was 2 years old), everyone had the kindest and most positive memories and impressions of the trip. Once again, many thanks to the management and the entire large team of the hotel for the warmth and truly heartfelt welcome. It was a complete Sabai. "This trip, we booked two rooms, came with 4 friends. The accommodation did not have a shuttle bus, but we rented a car from the pier for 100 baht. The receptionist was friendly. We stayed on the 3rd floor, the stairs were very steep. Elderly people should avoid it. Fortunately, there were staff to help carry our bags up for us. The view from up was beautiful and made us feel less tired.
⭐The room was in a minimalist style, fully equipped, but the room was quite old. You can see from the cracks in the floor tiles. The curtains had black mold stains. The bathroom ventilation fan had a lot of dust. The pillow was sagging and uncomfortable to sleep on, but the bed was comfortable and usable. The water flow from the sink faucet was very weak, but the shower water flowed moderately.
⭐There is a cafe in the accommodation, but no restaurant. You have to walk along the beach to eat outside, but it is not far. In front of the beach, there are chairs to sit and relax, but after 5 pm, the staff will come to inform us that they will ask to take the chairs because they are getting off work. In my opinion, I think they should have extended the time a bit. The guests were sitting and relaxing, which could have ruined the mood.
⭐The breakfast tasted okay. We could tell the staff when we wanted to eat it, between 8-10 am, but our room had to sit and eat in front of the room. In the morning, the sun was shining, and it was quite hot.
⭐In summary, the accommodation is not expensive, the service is good, the view is beautiful, that's it."

"The room was very spacious, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing I can complain about is the shower not getting hot and there was a little bit of sand residue in our beds when we first checked in and we hadn’t been to the beach yet. "Our Favorite Island Escape!
This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave.
The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings.
The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special.
We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it."

"Been to Samed Cabana on numerous occasions and really can't beat the Beachfront cabanas.
However it's really disappointing and irritating to meet an unfriendly staff at the lobby. Poor service skills and definitely not the Thai way to greet guests. Hotel needs to seriously consider changing the front office manager. All the other staff are great except for one dinner where I had given them food to warm (food for my kids) and they served it to another guests! And I can speak Thai! Absolutely ridiculous. Shall return provided front office goes through a hospitality course."

GGuest UserThe resort model has good service. The hotel's own beach is very nice, and you can also go diving. It is quiet and comfortable overall. The hotel's own meals are also good. It is 10 minutes away from the town by motorcycle. It is recommended to rent a motorcycle to stay. On weekends, you can book a speed ship to pick you up at the hotel beach and take you back to Ban Phe Pier.

TTeeks I stayed at a quiet mini resort, which was great for peace and quiet. The best part was the chocolate cabin in the woods behind it. The infinity pool was mostly quiet and the rooms were cleaned well, which was important to me as someone with OCD. Despite being on the ground level with a sea view, I didn't encounter any bugs or ants inside.
The staff was decent, but not overly welcoming or friendly. Jik, who worked at the reception, was helpful and booked reservations for us at restaurants and other Samed group resorts. However, the resort was a bit far (15-minute drive) from everything else, making it quite a ride by motorbike or taxi. The distance felt longer when traveling around the island.
My least favourite thing was the breakfast restaurant. The Japanese style seating, while great for lunches or dinners, became annoying after a day or two, especially during breakfast when I needed to get up several times and bruised myself getting up. The restaurant also had an ant problem, which made me feel very uneasy and ruined my enjoyment of breakfast. I wished we hadn't included breakfast at the hotel. I felt that the same hygiene methods used for the rooms should be applied to the restaurant to prevent the ant issue.

BBingorA very small but natural resort with only 25 bungalow type rooms. Some detached some twins. Room Interiors are modern and clean. No catering service at this venue yet restaurants are plentiful within walking distance. But the great advantage is it's privacy with direct outlet to the sea for coral snorkeling and Sunrise Beach . Walking to the famous Sai Kaew Beach is just a few minutes walk. Free Wifi coverage is thru out the entire venue including the seaside. The owner and her members are very nice and friendly. Discount coupons of some restaurants on Sai Kaew Beach are available at front desk on request. Room cleaning only available for before 11.00 am. Check out before 11.30 am. Some rooms are too far from Seaside and some are too hidden. The bests are #1 to 4, 8 to 11. We stay at #2 was excellent. To and fro the Main Pier is easy by Public Transport for just few minutes drive. If you have heavy luggage, hotel has tricycle to pick up at or deliver to Public Transport Stop.

Ssau chingThe man at the Ao Prao Pier is very rude and when i asked question and he was not helpful, is a very bad start of the trip. another bad thing was we could not take the shuttle boat from the hotel straight to Ban Phe Pier due to the high tides, i spend more 30 min for the trip. i got hurt because of the door edge of the shower room. i told the reception about that, but the lady was busy with her private video chat with friend and not putting down the phone and help. i dont think their service is equal to their price range.
the beach and the surrounding environment is good, but they dont need the motorbike to go down and need to walk about 10 mins for a way from the motorbike parking to the hotel. the hotel is expecting you to use the taxi for in and out, which is not quite convenience. they have different water sport, but they charge one by one, even the life jacket.

The rooms are clean, spacious and stylishly decorated. Each room has everything you need for a comfortable stay: a comfortable bed, air conditioning, a mini-fridge. It is especially nice that the rooms are always clean, and the staff carefully monitors the order.
**Food:**
As the name of the hotel suggests, they serve amazing pizza! This is a real highlight of the place. The restaurant offers a variety of Italian dishes, but pizza is a must-try. All the ingredients are fresh, the dough is thin and crispy, and the portions are generous. Breakfasts are also top-notch: varied, tasty and filling.

It stated sea view room you can only see a little bit just a heads up for anybody staying here. Would stay here again in the future.

MMarinaThe hotel is conveniently located, but tuk-tuks do not bring you to it, you have to walk through the courtyards from the bus stop, the first time we thought we would not find it, then we got used to it when you know the way. The location is convenient, on the 1st line, but perpendicular to the sea, so the windows overlook the backyard and the restaurant toilet. Apparently, during the low season, the restaurant staff got used to sitting there, talking, playing with the children, it was difficult to relax during the day, there was constant noise outside the window. Even when we asked them to be quieter, after some time they gathered there again and talked endlessly loudly, watched videos, played games. Then they moved to the area in front of the reception, but they talked so loudly that the noise still interfered with rest. At the same time, you will not find employees in the restaurant when you need to order food or pay, they are all relaxing there for their own pleasure. The hotel has its own sun loungers on the beach, but the restaurant staff tried to kick us out from there on the first day and insisted that we should order something in the restaurant, this spoiled the impression, of course. It is strange that the hotel has a restaurant, but no breakfast, it would be more convenient with breakfast. At 9 am, large groups of Chinese tourists are brought to the restaurant, in principle, as in other neighboring restaurants on the first line. The room is not bad, but old, the bed is comfortable, the TV only has Thai channels. The toilet in the bathroom is leaking, the faucet, apparently the same is on the floor above, because water was dripping from the ceiling and there is mold on the ceiling, and in the toilet itself there is no ventilation and a terrible smell of mold. There is no toilet paper, in front of the entrance to the toilet there is a holder with thin napkins, which is very inconvenient. We lived on the 1st floor, since among us there were people with disabilities, in front of the room there is a table and two chairs, but sitting in front of the restaurant toilet is not at all pleasant. Also, the employees in this place eat their own food and sometimes the smells are very unpleasant. The hotel is for very unpretentious visitors, but the sea is wonderful and two steps from the beach. On the main street there are many restaurants, massages, two 7-11, currency exchange. It's a couple of minutes' drive from the ferry.
